Goldie didn't know how she would face him. It was such an awkward moment. Maybe she should just quit and find another job. Romances in the workplace were always a bad idea. Not that they were in a romantic situation but thinking of her feelings and how badly she had wanted him to kiss her. Seeing how willing he was to oblige she just knew this was bad, really bad. She so wished there was a way to make it right.

She took a deep breath before opening the door to Missy's. Bear's smiling face was not the one to greet her.

"Hi!" Missy said.

Goldie knew she should be relieved, but as Missy was Bear's sister undoubtedly she knows of the almost kiss and Goldie just thought it best to cut ties and run.

"We need to talk?" Goldie said.

"We sure do," Missy said surprisingly.

"We do?" Goldie asked, wondering if now she was going to be fired before she got the chance to quit. Not that she was worried, worse case scenario she knew Red would always take her back.

"Mmmhmm," Missy said handing her a hot chocolate and sitting at one of the empty tables motioning for her to join her.

Goldie cautiously approached the table and took a seat.

"Missy, I can explain," Goldie began but stopped when Missy held her hand up.

"I owe you so much. I don't even know where to start but, the first thing I wish to do is give you a raise."

Goldie blinked once, then twice, then shook her head and still felt baffled by what just happened. "A raise?"

"I can't believe you're surprised. First you come in here and literally save my business single-handed, which of course saved my life as well and then you found my brother an apartment. You have no idea what that meant to him."

Goldie remembered him saying those exact same words right before he almost kissed her. She realized he must have left out the part about the kiss when he spoke with Missy about his new place.

"You're welcome?" she said, taking a sip of the Hot Chocolate, it wasn't as good as when Bear makes it.

Missy laughed at Goldie's response. "You sound unsure. You're actually doing us both a favor as he will no longer be my house guest any more, and as much as I love him well... brothers and sisters need their personal space."

"Well... happy to help," Goldie said looking to the back room waiting for Bear to appear.

"He's not here," Missy said. "I gave him the day off so he could get settled in the new place."

"Really!" Goldie said immediately brightening. This gave her a reprieve she could have a little more time to figure out how best to handle the situation.

"You like him don't you?"

"What?" Goldie said pulled back from her own musings.

"My brother, do you like him?"
