"Desire creates havoc when it is the only thing between two people, or when it is what's missing."
Kylie
At five in the morning on a Saturday, the moment Ashley had called me over the phone telling me that Luke came back to town, I immediately had shot out of bed. It had only been two weeks since he had gone missing, and all of a sudden he just came running back on his own? I had found it hard to believe at first, until the whole group had met up at the police station. Mr. Fletcher urged us to quickly step inside of his office. He allowed us to hear Luke talk on speaker while he asked him a bunch questions.
That morning consisted of shock and a load of heartfelt sympathy for Luke. I couldn't help but to feel relieved that he was alive and breathing. I could tell that he was really exhausted over the phone. Luke's voice was void of any emotion and it was as if his mind was elsewhere. I guess that was what being tortured by a mad man did to you, especially if you think you have no other hope and energy left in you. I knew that Luke Crawford was a truly strong-willed person, and he held an unmoving stance when it came to his beliefs.
He was very passionate about anything that he talked about. He was the one person that created a spark in our group, and he made things really work out for the rest of us whenever it got really stressful. Luke was also one of the peacekeepers in our large friend groups, just like me. It was actually one of the few things that he and I had in common. We both didn't like dealing with all of the drama and gossip, but they were always interesting things to listen in on.
"Luke's back in town, and he's had it pretty bad since the day he disappeared." I informed Tristan as we sat down on the living room couch. We each held an ice cream cone in our hand, and slowly savored the chocolate fudge flavored rocky mountain road bliss. The fudge that was conveniently stuffed on the inside of the creamy goodness melted in our mouths, tasteful groans slipping past our lips. Tristan rose an eyebrow at me from across the table and entwined his fingers with mine.
Oh my god, he's so fucking cute.
It was so humid outside, that it was literally impossible for me to breathe underneath the blazing warmth of this thick black sweater. I was almost tempted to take it off, but I was too conscious of how Tristan would have reacted to seeing me topless. I shrugged the thought off and listened to his semi-deep voice as he spoke. My eyes couldn't help but to keep flickering towards his soft pink lips as he licked the ice cream.
Bad Kylie!
"Yeah, I heard about it from Ashley. I also saw Luke at the grocery store today. He looked awfully sleep deprived and it seemed like he had lost a significant amount of weight as well." Tristan stared back at me, shaking his head as if saying "poor guy". His sky blue orbs were practically staring into my soul.
I just couldn't seem to point out what made them appear so enchanting to me. "You like what you see?" A boyish smirk spread across his addictive lips as he cocked his head to the side, observing me. A blush formed on my cheeks and I licked the last layer of my delicious sweet treat before biting into the waffle cone.
Damn right.
"Way too much, I should say. God, I want to kiss you so badly," I muttered lowly. Tristan let out a laugh that sounded like music to my ears. I honestly loved everything about him. His humor and his kind personality were one of the many things I came to love. Tristan was a very sweet and patient guy, and he was a great listener too.
How could you say that? You sound desperate as fuck. Stupid conscious..
"And I want to sweep you off of your feet and make you feel like the happiest girl in the world. You deserve to be happy Kylie, and I don't want anyone else to take you away from me." His voice was as hushed as a feather being dropped onto the floor. "You're my forever girl." Tristan's words were like a cupid's arrow that punctured me in the heart like no other would.
I love you so goddamn much. I would have squealed and jump into your arms right now, but I don't want to seem crazy.
Sometimes I wondered what he saw in me as his girlfriend. He could have had chosen any one of those pretty looking cheerleaders at school, but then instead he chose me. I was still confuse to why he continued to listen to Nick rant to him about me, and why he even decided to go on a first date with me. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a loud crunch and blinked. This time, Tristan was the first to finish his cone, allowing him to finish the rest of mine.
Tristan got up on his knees and reached for the sides of my face. He caressed my cheeks with his thumbs with a loving aura filling his eyes. The way his dimples popped up out his skin when he smile made my body melt and lean towards his touch. His lips hovering over mine, I instinctively closed my eyes, our soft breathing was the only thing that could be heard in the house. Mom, Dad, and Anna were asleep upstairs.
Breathe Kylie. Breathe. Don't fuck up.
Tristan broke the remaining space left between us by capturing my lips with his. Our lips moved in sync, and I could feel the intense heat spreading across my entire body. His kiss was gentle but feverish with need as he took my bottom lip between his teeth and softly tugged at it before taking my lips again. We both stood up and made a quick transition over to the couch as we continued kiss. Asking for an entrance, I rubbed my tongue against his bottom lip while he placed his body in between my legs.
Hot damn diggity.
Hands resting on either side of my head, careful to not put his full weight on me, he opened his mouth slightly to let me in. Our tongues softly rubbed against each other as we locked our lips together. I involuntary let out a soft whimper has his left hand trailed up the outer part of my right leg, hitching it over his waist. Tristan started to grind against me, and I could practically feel his body heat radiating off of him. His minty smell clouded my senses as tingles trailed up my entire front region.
Okay, okay! Kylie, that's enough you slut!
I broke contact with him by removing my lips from his and panted quietly. His breathing was ragged and I could feel the bulge in his pants poking against my inner thigh. I gave him a small smile, my cheeks were tainted with a rosy pink color. I traced my thumb over his jawline before softly rubbing it over his bruised lips. "Not until after the third date, handsome," I murmured.
He nodded in understanding and got off of me, clearing his throat. He awkwardly leaned himself back against the cushioning of the couch and I held back a humorous snort. I didn't know how else to show him my appreciation for holding back his sexual urges for me. I decided to sit up and relaxed against him my resting my head on top of his right shoulder. He laced his fingers with mine and we eventually dosed off to sleep in this position, his legs propped up on the coffee table.
And I was not aware of the pair of infuriated eyes that were staring at us from the distance through the living room window.
