Kylie
Oh my god.
"Kylie, the authorities found Tristan!"
Oh my god.
"Where is he?" I croaked, my throat getting tight.
"He's waiting for you at the police station right now," My mom Linda gave me a bright smile. Her eyes became glassy as she dismissed me with the wave of her hand. "Go."
I immediately made a mad dash out the door and grabbed my coat along the way. I slipped it on as the snow started to fall down from the sky. My chest burned as I pumped my legs and pushed myself forward.
I need to see him.
I ran as fast as I could, not wanting to miss this opportunity. I wanted to be reunited with him. I wanted to make sure that he was okay and left unscathed. "Come on Kylie keep yourself together. Don't cry just yet. Save it for the big moment." I whispered heatedly to myself.
After a few minutes I arrived at the station and I barged in through the doors. Many police officers stuck their heads up in alarm. One asked me what I was here for. Another one asked me if I was alright. "I'm fine, I'm looking for Tristan," I say breathlessly as my eyes darted around.
I continued to search around the office, but there was no luck. My heart dropped to my stomach and tears started to crept up to the corners of my eyes. "I found Tristan. He was sitting near one of our jail cells."
I turned around and saw my forever right before my eyes. He held out his arms for me to run into them, and that's exactly what I did. I wailed like a big baby into his chest, my tears couldn't stop flowing. "I missed you.. I missed you so much!" I wrapped my arms around his waist and tightened my grip which had no effect in suffocating him.
"Shh, it's okay. I'm here, all for you Kylie." I continued to stay latched onto him. And I could hear a series of claps coming from the police men.
"Promise me that you won't leave me ever again." I sniffle and removed my face from his chest to stare into the cobalt eyes that I loved. Tristan cupped the sides of my face with his hands and wiped the tears away with his thumbs.
"I won't let it happen ever again, and that's a promise," The handsome boy in front of me murmured softly. He brought our faces closer and met our lips in a warm and longing kiss. Tristan wrapped his arms around my waist and I rested my arms around the back of his neck.
"I love you so much," I say quietly as we pulled our lips away. Tristan smiled down at me, his cheeks were slightly pink from the kiss. He was about to speak again when a door opened from behind him. Mr. Fletcher walked out, the man known for his pot belly. Only this time, he was walking with the help of a cane in his hand.
He stepped towards us and gave us a heart-warming grin. He also had a box filled with Tristan's belongings. "I believe these are yours." Tristan gratefully took the box and held it underneath his arm.
"Thank you so much sir, how can I ever repay you?" He gave Mr. Fletcher a hopeful expression. I stared between the two of them, happiness bubbling up in my chest. I was starting to get giddy about being able to see Tristan every single day and being able to spend time with him again.
"There's someone else that you should be thanking, but just be sure to stay out of trouble. You two can head out and celebrate now." Mr. Fletcher glanced at me one last time before walking off back into his officer.
I had a fit of giggles as Tristan kept kissing me all over my face on the way out. A car honked and I jumped in surprise. Ace, Lynn, Ashley, and Max. I stiffened quite a bit in my spot when Max gave me a pained smile. I didn't know if I was supposed to be angry that he was the one who was part of Marcus's evil plan, or to be somber because of the fact he tried so hard to get Luke back, but to only find out he was murdered.
I looked towards Tristan for assistance, and he had an uneasy aura in his eyes also. But he kept that smile on his face regardless of how he felt. Often times I wouldn't be able to tell if he was mad or depressed when he whenever he was with me because he was good at hiding his feelings from time to time. He stepped forward and stood in front of Max, who was sitting in the back of the run down truck. I didn't question what the two boys were doing when Max first stuck out his hand to Tristan.
"Truce?" Tristan stared down at Max's hand momentarily before taking it. The both of them came in for a bro hug and they clapped each other on the back. Tristan pulled away before returning to my side. He wrapped his arm around my waist once again and pulled me closer to him.
Bewildered at the run down car, I asked Ace,"What ever happened to your red Camry?" Lynn and Ashley started to snicker underneath their breaths. Ace gave me a sheepish look and scratched the back of his neck.
"Well.. Let me just say that my cousin got high and stole my keys over the weekend. He um.. He crashed my car into the side of Starbucks." My eyes bulged open in surprise.
"Is he okay? We should go see him at the hospital then!" I climbed onto the back of the truck and sat from across Max. Tristan climbed in after me and had me lean my head on his shoulder.
"Nah, he's fine. The idiot only came out with a broken arm and a couple bruises here and there. He's actually at home."
"Oh, if that's the case, can we go to the park and throw a party then?" Ashley piped up from the front seat of the truck and stuck her head out the window. "It's starting to snow a lot, and I'm in the mood for a snowball fight." We all laughed in agreement and settled ourselves in for a frosty ride. The six of us put our winter jackets, hats, gloves, and masks on.
"Let's go."
