Kakashi's Responsibility

Obito laid on the ground and everyone was cheering for death to be shot at him.

I didn't think it was a good idea yet.

Sasuke ran towards Obito, ready to strike.

What are the chances of Madara coming back just to fuck up victory?

I think a lot.

Kakashi appeared over Obito. Sasuke stopped. I raked his body, Sasuke. This wasn't my Sasuke, is it?

"Sasuke." I murmured and he turned to me. "Come here."

He hesitated but walked to me and wrapped his arms around me. His chin resting on my shoulder.

"How am I supposed to call you? Aj, or Maiko?"

This wasn't my Sasuke.

"Maiko, please." I answered.

He touched my arm and I winced and flinched away. These were class A burns.

"Sorry." He murmured. "Karin can-"

"No, she won't bear it. Leave it alone." I said.

"Why won't-" He started again.

"I'm supposed to be dead. These are marks from hell, they're warning me. If I don't go back in there, I will be dragged back or they will stay here."

He stared at me. "Who? I will fight my last breathe for you."

"Sasuke, you can't stand a chance against demons."

"What is your plan, Maiko?" He reponded without scoffing at my remark for once.

"What do you mean about plan? As in the whole killing Obito and Madara and the whole war concept?" I asked.

"Generally, yes."

"To be honest, I'm a fan of ignoring the problem until eventually it goes away." I answered before making an exaggerated sigh. "But I guess I'll have to make a plan now, because my method won't work this time."

He turned me by the waist and looked at me directly in the eyes before focusing them on my lips. He leaned in and kissed them softly. He sighed into the kiss. Was this considered cheating? Hadn't I kissed enough people that weren't my Sasuke already?

I placed my hand on his chest and gently pushed him back. "We're in the middle of a war, Sasuke, there's no time for you to go doing your cooing." I said sternly and walked from his arms towards Kakashi's talk-no-jutsu with

"This is utter shit, Big Bro, kill the fucking bastard, or even better, I will." I said, licking my lips. "I promise he'll suffer, and spill blood, like a shower."

"No, I'll do it, you better get back to Sasuke. Spend your last minutes with him." He whispered and winced at the sound.

"They will all disappear when I gone, except Orochimaru. He stays." I said and turned to him.

"Oro-chan." I said. "in apology of what the Yasuki have done against you, I grant you the power to stay on earth." I said. "As a friend, as I hope we are now. I grant you the wish you've been seeking for decades. I give you immortality." Everyone gasped.

He stared at me in disbelief.

"But." I stated. "You shall not use your powers to harm. Ever."

He widened his eyes. "Why?" He asked.

"Because I want you to take in everything that's going on. I want you to remember how everything started, this war. And stop it when it starts again." I said simply. "I trust you with this power. Oreo-Chew-Mars."

I then turned to Sasuke, my Sasuke. I walked to him and once again hugged him. He held me right against him.

"I love you so much, Maiko-dear. So much. I love you so much it hurts. This is all my fault. I shouldn't have left to kill Danzo. I shouldn't have. I love you."

"It isn't your fault. It was meant to happen, alright." I looked up at him he was full-on crying. My heart shattered. "I love you. I do too and I'll never stop, even if I wanted to, I can't." I told him the thruth.

"II'll watch over you." I admitted. "I'll make sure you use protection." I said with a half smile. "I'll make sure you buy the right wedding ring. And that you remember your anniversary. All those things, I'll be there."

He bent a little and pressed his palm to his heart as if it physically hurt.

"I love you." He kissed my lips. The kiss was sweet, and romantic. Like nothing was going on, no war, no Obito, no staring, no death. Just his lips pressed against mine and his hands on my face and mine on his hair. Damn I will miss touching his hair.

"Are you ready, Maiko?" I breathed in and let Sasuke hug me until death.
