"A man that won't die for something is not fit to live." Martin Luther King JR.
Every 10th of October people celebrated world-wide. It was for several reasons. It was the sixth Hokage's birthday, it was the day the horrid Fourth Shinobi war had ended. But there was one man who didn't celebrate with such happiness. Of course, he was happy enough during the birthday party which he forcefully attended due to his close friendship with the Hokage.
But once the small party ended, mostly the rest of the day was spent in a hill. A hill where a small meadow had grown during the years. In the middle of it was a stone. 'In the memory of Princess Yasuki Maiko. For which bravery will forever be remembered and heart will forever be cherished. May she rest in peace with the angels above, in the broad sky.' It read. He always traced the next markings though, those were the ones that mattered. 'Daughter of Queen Yasuki Emiko, and Hatake Sakumo Sister of Hatake Kakashi and Uchiha Itachi. Wife of Uchiha Sasuke.'
He's place a new rose on the grave and touched both his wedding rings. The one that never happened and the one that did.
Princess Maiko was buried in her favourite dress. With her favourite shoes, odd looking boots, and a wedding ring. A ring that was supposed to be a present. A surprise.
The man's children never understood. They never understood the need for their father to go up that hill at least once a week. Why he kept a stack of papers always with the title 'The Tale of Princess Maiko' they didn't understand until they were old enough to be explained, by their pink-haired mother.
There was also another man that lived several lands away in a giant castle that seemed to last forever.
Inside his castle he lived centuries, listening to thousands of melodies.
"I remember tears streaming down your face when I said I'll never let you go." One began.
That's it.
Love ya. <3 Sincerely, Alijoice
