Chapter 10

Denis' POV

I wake up without being next to Lexi. I miss her so much. I get out bed and take a shower. I put on a AA muscle shirt, black jeans, a flannel tied around my waist and nikes.

I go online and have a look for flights to England. I'm going to surprise Lexi for her birthday tomorrow. I pick up my phone and ring James.

"Hello?" He says.

"Hey man, I just had a look for flights and there's for 6:30 tonight. Could you pick me up at the airport and take me to hotel for the night?"

"Yeah sure man"

"Thanks mate I'll see you tonight"

I hang up the phone and start packing. I can't wait to see the love of my life tomorrow.

Lexi's POV

I wake up and I'm so cold. It feels so weird not being in Denis' arms. I miss him so much. I'll be spending my birthday without him tomorrow. I sigh.

I get up and have a shower. I put some high waisted shorts, one of Denis' shirts and converses. I have to tuck in his shirt because it's too long. I walk out into the lounge room and see James watching tv.

"Morning James" I said.

"Morning Lex" he smiled.

"What's the smile for?" I asked.

"Nothing" he says.

"Okay"

I walked into the kitchen and started pancakes. I put blueberries on it for me and syrup for James.

"James, breakfast is ready"

He ran into the kitchen and took the plate from me. I sat at the table and ate my pancakes. I finished my food and washed mine and James' plate up.

"What do you want to do for your birthday Lex?" James asked.

"I'm not sure, we can invite the guys over for a few drinks or something" I said.

"Even though I'd love for Denis to come but I'll see him" I sighed.

"Yeah it would be nice" James smirked.
I wonder what he's up to.

Denis' POV

I just went through security to catch the plane. I got to my seat and plug in my headphones. I notice a girl staring at me. It's kind of annoying me. She had blond hair and brown eyes. She's no where near as beautiful as Lexi is. I can't wait to see her tomorrow.

"5 minutes till landing" the pilot says.

I sit up and rub my eyes. The plane landed and I go to collect my bags. I get my phone and text James.

"I'm at the airport"

"I'm on my way"

I sit on the chair and scroll through Twitter. I get another message from James.

"I'm outside man"

I walk outside and see James. He gives me a brotherly hug and he drives to a hotel.

"Are you okay man?" I ask him.

"Yeah, I just hate lying to Lexi. I told her I was going to get Brandi but she's visiting family" he says.

"I'm sorry you had to lie, but it'll be only for today. I get a taxi to your place tomorrow morning, I'll text you when I'm out the front and you can let me in so I can surprise her" I smile.

"Okay man, here's the hotel. I'll see you tomorrow"

I nod and check into the hotel. It's not a very nice one but it'll do for one night. I put on my boxers and get into bed.

Lexi's POV

I wake up and sigh. It's my birthday today and I have to spend it without Denis.

I hop up and get dressed. I put on an Slipknot t shirt, black shorts and my nikes. I go into the bathroom and do my makeup. I put on some foundation, eyeliner, mascara and pink lipstick. I put my hair in a ponytail.

I walk down stairs and see there's balloons and streamers everywhere. Man, James went all out. But there's no one in the lounge room or kitchen. I feel someone arms wrap around my waist.

"Happy birthday beautiful" I hear a familiar voice say.

I turn around and see Denis. I hug him so tight and kiss passionately.

"Why are you here? I thought I wasn't going to see you for another month?" I ask.

"I couldn't miss my princess's birthday" he smiles.

I hug him again. I missed having his arms around me. I felt safe again.

"Happy birthday Lex!" James yells.

"Thank you James" I hug him.

"This is for you"

He gives me a bag. I open it up and there's a few Asking Alexandria shirts and Panic! At The Disco shirts.

"A bit obsessed with your band clothes?" I laugh.

"You're the droomers sister and the vocalist girlfriend, so you have to look the part" he says.

I just smile and hug him. The door bell rings and James answers it.

"Happy birthday shorty!" Ben, Cam and Sam yell.

I hug them and thank them. This is going to be a great birthday.
