Chapter 16

Denis' POV

We arrive to my house and I'm so scared. I can't lose Lexi or our little girl. They're my entire world. We all walk up to the front door and I kick it open. I run into the lounge room and see Lexi sitting in a chair with her head down. I go to walk over her but some guy punches me.

"I'm guessing this is the fiancé" one guy snickers.

"Dude, I recognise him. He's in James' band" the other one says.

"James! Come out wherever you are" they laugh.

James walks over to me and helps me up.

"What do you want Michael and John? How did you get out of jail?!" He yells.

"You and Lexi never came to visit us. So we came to visit you" Michael says.

"Why are you hurting Lexi?! I swear if she's dead, I'll kill the both of you!" James yells.

Michael walks over to Lexi and pulls her hair. She whimpers.

"Let her go!" I yell.

"And what of I don't?!"

He pulls her hair again and punches her. I run over to him and pin him against a wall. I punch him over and over again. He falls on the ground and i kick him. I feel someone pull me off him. I turn around and see Cam.

"Stop man, we'll put them back in jail"

I nod and go over to Lexi. I untie her and get to stand up. But she falls back down.

"They didn't touch the baby" she whimpers.

I kiss her forehead and walk over to John.

"You're going back to jail and you're never getting out. Neither of you are" I spit.

They both laugh and I punch them both.

"I've called the police and the ambulance. They should be here soon." Sam says.

Ben pulls me away from them and sits me on the lounge.

James' POV

"Lexi I'm so sorry"

"It wasn't your fault. I should've been more careful" she cries.

"This isn't your fault either. Our family members are just crazy"

"True that" she says.

The ambulance and police come rushing in.

"Miss, we need you tell us what happened." The officer says.

"Well, I went shopping this morning to buy some things for mine and Denis' baby. When I got back home, my door was open. I walked inside and heard two people talking. It was mine and James' cousins. They started to beat me and they tied me to a chair.. They said that they were making me pay because I didn't go see them in jail. They threatened to hurt my baby but they didn't touch her. They texted Denis and the guys came" she said.

"I'm very sorry, they'll be put back in jail" he says.

"Thank you" I say.

"As for you miss, you need to go to a hospital" the paramedics say.

They put her a stretcher bed and put her in the ambulance.

"Mate you go with her. We'll get a taxi" Sam said.

I nod and get into the ambulance with her.
