Chapter 3: Hi Aunt

Ivy tried to attack Lucy by releasing some vines but then the vines didn't touch instead it attacked Ivy. Harleen hugged her and calmed her.

♤ Hush now, my baby; be still love, don't cry
Sleep as you're rocked by the stream
Sleep and remember, my last lullaby
So I'll be with you when you dream ♤

Lucy got her grip loose from the hamlet and her body calmed. She fell asleep and Harley carried her.

"Who is she?" Selina asked and went in. Harley stepped away and looked at the both of them suspiciously.

"Are you here to get me and be given to Joker?" Harley asked.
"No." Both of them answered they went in and locked the door.

"What is she? Her hair is colored red awhile ago.
"Her name is Lucy Quinn. She's my daughter from Joker." Harley held Lucy tightly and looked at Ivy and Selina suspiciously. Harley felt more worried of Lucy's uncontrollable power so she thought of a way to find out what is she.
"Ivy?"
"Yeah?"
"You know Mr. Parker from Oscorp right?" Harley asked.

"Yeah he is one of my friends before when I haven't possess the power to control plants." Ivy says and went near Harley. She patted Harley's shoulder and gave her a reassuring smile.

"Don't worry Harley. Cat and I are not here to turn you to Joker. We're here to help you."

"And besides Joker can't go to Queens or Brooklyn he's in Gotham very far from here." Selina added.

"Guess I'll be stuck with you guys." Harley smiled and carried Lucy to her room.

After a few hours of Lucy's nap she finally woke up. She walk into the living room while rubbing her eyes. She followed the voice of her mother and eventually she is in the kitchen along with Ivy and Selina.

"Mom?" Lucy called.

"Oh sweetie you're awake" Harley smiled.

"Who are they?" Lucy asked pointing at Ivy and Selina.

"Ohh they are you aunts from Gotham." She held her hand and pulled her near to Ivy and Selina.

"Hello Lucy.. You have the Joker's hair?" Selina said.

"Who's Joker?" Lucy asked.

"He's no one sweetie." Harley said and glared at Selina.

"Ummn baby why don't you drink some water first and maybe you could play outside with Gwen."

"Sure mom."

"Look I still think Joker needs to know this he has been causing trouble." Selina suggested.

"I'm not going to risk my daughter's life. She safer here."

"And what if she's not?" Ivy asked.

A moment of silence came and I sighed. This is going to be hard.

"I'll think about it." I said and left the two of them.

Third person's POV

Lucy played with Gwen Stacy on Harley's front yard. Both of them were born on the same day. As they play as superheroes a Purple Lamborghini stopped by. Gwen got afraid by the time window went down showing a guy with green hair and the palest skin while Lucy got an opposite reaction.

"WOAH! You got green hair too?" She asked and went near the car.

The guy with green hair however stared at her hair in awe as he starts thinking that he has found what he has been looking for. He went out of his car and went near to Lucy.

"Mister what does J mean on your right cheeck?" Lucy asked and pointed at his tatoo. He looked at Lucy intently and noticed that her voice sounded like the psychiatrist that left him two years ago. Meanwhile Gwen left in fear. He kneeled down on Lucy's height and smiled slightly.

"It means my name." He said and patted her head.

"What is your name?"

The Joker ignored her question because he has no intention of telling him since he is well aware.

"Hey could you do me a favor kid?" He said and fished out something out of his pocket.

"What is it Mister J?" Lucy said making the man smile sadly.

Despite of his psychotic mind and abusive hands and being a serial killer for the first time he felt real joy and upset. Missing the psychiatrist, he finally got it and handed it to Lucy.

"Give thi-- I mean just keep this okay? But keep it for yourself okay." He said and smiled to Lucy as she looks at the mask with a the cutest giggle.

"I'll look like the Harlequin!" She cheered. Lucy hugged the man unexpectedly. The man hugs her back and slowly departed from the kid. "Remember it's just a secret." the man reminded.

Without the knowing of the kid that it was his father, the Joker, he finally left Brooklyn and returned to Gotham no longer as a serial killer but a lonely father.

Lucy went back to the house when she realized Gwen was gone and so she hid the mask on her treasure box in her room.
