Chapter 13: Rewind

2 years later

Lucy's Point of View

I felt a shake on my shoulder but I refused to wake up. I tightened my grip on the bed sheet and buried my face on the pillow. "Lucina Frances Napier if you don't wake up this instance you I'll finish all of the bacon that I've cooked." Cap threatened. I tried to find the smell of bacon while still on my bed but didn't smell any. "You haven't even cooked any yet." I said and looked at Cap who chuckled for tricking me to at least sit on the bed to smell it. I dropped myself back to bed and heard a deep sigh from him.

"C'mon Luce get up it's a school day." He sat on the bed and tried shaking me.

"If I'm enrolled in Xavier's school for gifted youngsters then I will get up."

"We both know that you have complete control of your powers which means you don't have to go that school."

"Then why do I have to go to school when I could just read their minds and know about the history and stuff. By the way what's the date today?"

"December 16"

"OH SHOOT" I dashed out of bed and did all my morning routines while Cap cooks bacon.

"What's the hurry?" He asked as I finished dressing up. "We'll be going to Oscorp kind of an educational trip." I answered and tried to change my hair color to a natural color.

"Wow like just awhile ago you were whining about not going to school now you're rushing everything for a trip." He placed the food on the table and sat down while his arms crossed.

"Doctor Connors he knows my mom I want to ask more about it." I tried one last time to change it but failed. I sighed because I failed to hide my real hair color.

"It's okay if your hair color is like that we love it the way it is." He said and I sat to eat food. "Thanks" 

Rogers stood up and patted my head and gave me his keys to his motorcycle. "Stop by S.H.I.E.L.D later kid since we both don't have a spare key." I smiled at what he said and I gave him a quick hug.

"Take care dad." I went out of the apartment and drove off to school. By the time I got there the bus had already moved out. Got no choice then but to use this baby to follow it.

I  don't really have much friends more like I have none. I just most of the time wished that I've lived in the time mutants like the X-men. Phoenix is one of the mutants that I copied powers with however I only use it to lazily clean, cook or eat. The bus finally stops in front of Oscorp and I drove it until the parking lot.

I caught up with the group and the teacher saw me.

"Ms. Napier you're late." Ms. Lind says and eyed me down.

"Better late than sorry Ms. Lind" I grinned and went in the building leaving the group. Shish that teacher sucks. The group followed behind and were too awed with the technology. A hologram of the CEO of Oscorp appeared in the middle of the lobby saying things of what they do and others. I yawned at how their technology is a bit lower than S.H.E.I.L.D's. We were brought to the fourth floor and a girl with mid-length blonde hair wearing a lab coat introduced what they study on their field. She seems familiar like from my childhood. She then left and went to a different group for another introduction.

I felt a tap on my shoulder and I didn't bother looking because there is only one person that does that and it is... "Peter Parker"

"You went in my mind didn't you?" he said and turned to give him a high five.

"No I promised I wouldn't go in your mind didn't I?" I lightly punched his shoulder and he laughed.  I take back what I said awhile ago I do have a friend and that's him. "What brings you here?" I asked.

"Same as you field trip but I have come for a little interview with Doctor Connors." He said and pushed back his glasses like a journalist while smiling.

"Stop doing that it's disgusting!" I pushed him and placed my hands on my pockets. "Alright hahahahaha!" 

"We both came for the same reason then." I said and started walking towards Doctor Connors' office.

There he was trying to make an equation to make a regeneration serum like the a lizard. "Doc" I said and he slowly looked back at us. "Quinzel?" he asked and looked at me.

"Uhhh no... It's Lucy short for Lucina Napier." I said and uncomfortably tapped my right foot.

"You have your mother's eyes then but come sit. Oh I see you are friends with Richard Parker's son." He said and sat down with us. "Yeah it is a small world." Peter replied. "You go with your interview first. I know you need it." I smirked and Peter started with his nerdy interview.

After a few minutes with their talk Peter had to go to the bathroom. 

"So what brings you here Lucy?" Doctor Connors asked.

"A check up and a few questions about my mother." I said.

"I don't know much about your mother but I do know who her friends are. But first, I'll give you a check up." He stood up and led me into a familiar room with glass mirrors. "The instructions are simple whatever you see on the TV screen imitate it but there is a new improvement in this room which you should be able to pass."

"Improvements? What improvements?" By the time I asked he already left the room and closed it. Okay Lucy let's try to read what is outside.

There's nothing. Unbelievable! 

"There is nothing you could mind control out of this room Lucy so please concentrate on what you are about to do." 

Alright I will. The TV screen showed three men which includes the infamous magneto about to be shot by 8 men when all of the they got knocked out. The video repeated and my eye finally caught how they were saved. Speedsters.

I heard guns ready to shoot then all aimed at me. Altogether they fire at me but then again I have the power of memory make so I ran through the walls and the bullets missed. I ran towards the machine guns and punched it one by one. Debris of the machine guns and bullets slowly float down as I grinned to myself the power that I have obtained. Where are my manners I should put everything in one place. 

I've picked every single pieces and placed them in the center of the room. I heard an applause from Doctor Connors as he walks in the room and I just stared at him blankly. Something fishy is going on here and I should explore his mind. He has something hiding on his.

*Flashback*

He pressed a few numbers on his telephone and waited for an answer.

"Hello?" An old man's voice answered on the other end of the line.

"Is this Mr. Alexander Pierce?" Doctor Connors asked.

"Yes it is. How may I help?"

"I would like to report a powerful mutant that could be used as weapon ." 

"That is good news I'll send my men to take her."

The call ends and Doctor Connors sighed in relief because nobody saw him nor heard him.

*End of Flashback*

 My mom is beautiful and Connors is trying to sell me out and use me as weapons so Cap's information about me when I was a kid was right that they tried to use me but S.H.I.E.L.D got me. That doesn't make any sense.

"Lucy?" I got snapped out of my thoughts.

"Yes?"

"I said your powers from the last time you went here along with your mother is twice as much powerful as you think. It means telekinesis if you could read the minds of the people all over earth your range could go to other planets as well."

"Oh.. Thank you Doc I have to go."
