Chapter 17: Home

Lucy Queen's Point of View

Before Captain and I could enter his apartment, our neighbor holding a basket of her laundry greeted us.

"I think you left your radio on." She said and we just smiled at her.

" Now you're really getting old." I teased but he was silent. He has a suspicious face on and signaled me to be cautious.

He slowly twisted the doorknob and opened the door. I immediately sensed that someone was in the house. A figure of a black man was sitting on one of Captain's favorite couche. Captain turned on the lamp and saw Nick Fury bruised and bleeding.

"My wife kicked me out." Nick said and showed his phone with a text saying 'too many ears.'

"I didn't know you had a wife."

Nick looked at me and signaled me to look outside. With my telepathic power, I looked for any person aiming for Nick Fury.

I walked slowly and silently towards the window and prepared to leap to the building across our apartment. I saw a masked man with a metal arm aiming for Nick Fury with a sniper.

I leaped to the other side of the building but my hand slipped on the balcony of the top floor.

Third Person

The little clown was able to hold on the window frame with her left hand. With her gymnastic abilities she swung her body from left to right until she reached the maximum force for her to go on top.

The masked man already fired the sniper hitting Fury right on the spot. Before he could shoot out more, Lucy was on the top of the building about to punch him.

The masked man fell backwards and Lucy breathed out fire towards him but the metal arm protected his face. She tried to get in his mind but failed when she was punched square on the jaw. 

"That pissed me off real good." Lucy thought as she fell on the ground. The masked man ran while Captain America chased after him by crashing through the walls. Lucy got up and used a speedster's power to chase the masked man.

Before Captain America was able to crash through the window, Lucy kicked the masked man on the back which made him fell on the ground. She strangled him with all her strength but his left metal arm pulled her upper back. He pulled her away from his body and crashed her body to the ground. The soldier quickly took out a small metal and attached it to Lucy's nape. 

The little clown was already coughing blood when the metal was attached to her nape when an electric shock immediately triggered the metal attached to her making her feel weak. Captain threw his shield at the masked man which was caught by the his metal arm. He threw the shield back to Captain with greater force returning to him. 

The masked man escaped and Captain immediately approached Lucy who was laying on the ground with her blood dripping from her head and mouth. 

"I'm so sorry!" Yelled Captain America. 

*Hospital*

Captain watched Nick Fury and Lucy being operated while contemplating about the man he fought awhile ago. He remembered the last words of Fury saying don't trust anyone. After witnessing Fury's death, he looked at Lucy with all hopes high up that she would never be taken away. The S.T.R.I.K.E team called for Captain and left Natasha in the hospital.

*Time Skip*

"Captain you were the last person to see Nick alive and I don't think that's an accident." Alexander Pierce asked with a sense of interrogation. "So I'm gonna ask again. Why was he there?"

"He told me not to trust anyone." Captain answered with no emotions.

"I wonder if that included you. Is this about the child?" He smirked. Captain didn't answer but rather felt uncomfortable because of the child's security. Alexander switched on the screen on his office and pressed a trigger button. The screen revealed Lucy who easily recovered from her wounds but was then electrocuted with the metal on her nape. Lucy screamed in pain while Natasha tried to get in the ER to help her. 

"What are you doing to her?!" Captain shouted. "Just turning her into to what she is really meant to be." Alexander answered. Captain went out the room and used the elevator but was interrupted by the S.T.R.I.K.E. Team.

The metal attached to Lucy's nape sent another shock to her that triggered her to have a memory of a power she hasn't seen. By the time Natasha got in the room, Lucy flew out the ceiling breaking the ceilings of a 4 floored hospital. Lucy had no control over her body yet her conscious only sees memories of her parents. Her body radiated heat as she flew towards a city far from where Captain was. 

The girl crashed in the middle of Metropolis. The people thought there was a meteor that fell on their city but they were wrong. Alexander watched the people looking at the crater made by the crash of Lucy.

"Let's see what I could do with the new weapon." Alexander thought to himself. Lucy stood up from the ground with her hair turning red because of pain and anger. Her skin was pale white and her lips were bloody red. Her body suddenly turned like Carnage. 

The people watched in horror as a clown turned into a nightmare. Her long tongue salivates on the sight of humans running around the city. She jumped high and killed women and men that was on her way and the worst part was eating their head off.
