Chapter 14: Who I am

Lucy's Point of View

If my power ranges over the universe then I am lucky I am able to sleep at night. Professor Charles couldn't sleep because it is uncontrollable but then again good for me that I don't read everybody unless I have to. I went out of his office and got lost in my thoughts as I head towards the elevator. Why would S.H.I.E.L.D get me by force when I am already in S.H.E.I.L.D? This doesn't make any sense I have to meet that Ivy.

"LUCY!" I heard Peter called me before I could even enter the elevator. I saw him with the familiar blonde girl that is about my age. I went to them and waved at the girl.

"Let me introduce you to my classmate in some of my subjects. She is Gwen Stacy." He said.

"Lucina Frances Quinzel Napier" I gave my signature childish grin and shook hands with her.

"You look like my one and only childhood friend, Lucy, from Brooklyn with a mother named Harley." She said and smiled continuously. Weird.

"That issssss very specific but then my nickname is Lucy." I gave her an interested look and thought of what a big coincidence is happening. This gives me an idea.

"If you excuse me ladies I need head out first see you guys later!" Peter left at once.

"Okay... I have question since you seem really familiar to me and coincidentally your childhood friend has the same name as mine... "

"And she has green hair with streaks of blue and red and more like she looks really like you too." She cuts me off and I am just so awed. I took out my necklace and opened the pendant with only the picture of me and being hugged by my parents which only shows the nose to lips part of their face.

"I might be the one you are talking about." I gave her the necklace and looked carefully at it. Another lucky day for me then. I could feel the excitement of finally seeing my parents after a long time. Gwen looked at me and back to the picture. Her face seems euphoric and is bound to break in joyful tears.

"I can't believe it.... After all this years... You're here! You're actually back!" She break in tears and hugged me tightly but I still have a lot of questions. She finished hugging me and I gave her an poker face.

"Wow.. Yehey.. You now know I am your long lost childhood friend but I my past is still a blur." I said and frowned.

"That's okay I could show you around where we played maybe you could remember some memories. Oh this is yours." She hands my necklace back and I wore it.

"Yeah we could do it maybe Saturday next week?" I said.

"Yeah just meet me up I guess at my apartment which is just 2 blocks from here." She said.

"Great" I clapped my hands. "I should get going my group already left." I waved and went to the elevator.

WHAT WAS THAT??!?!?!?!? Should I read? No! But your one step ahead on your memories it would stop your thoughts about them. But S.H.I.E.L.D told be that they are dead. Arggggggghhhhhhhhhhh I have to got S.H.I.E.L.D.

I rode my motorcycle and went to S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters. I went to the receptionist and asked where Captain is.

"He could be in Nick Fury's office." The receptionist said and I went to the 6th floor.

I was about to enter the room when I heard him speak to Captain.

"Last time I trusted someone I lost an eye.. I didn't want you doing anything you weren't comfortable with Agent Romanoff is comfortable with everything."

"I can't beat a mission when the people I'm leading at missions of the road-" Captain was cut off by Nick Fury.

"It's called compartmentalization. Nobody spills the secrets because nobody knows them all."

"Except you." Then silence filled the room. 

"How about the kid? You also keep secrets from her and you really trust her that she will not read your mind." Nick asked and I sat down on one of the chairs and listened more. I have a strong sense of hearing,

"First of all you have all the secrets about her life and I only know two things that her parents are alive. and you removed her childhood memories." Captain said. My heart dropped and broke into pieces. He lied to me.

"I have something to show you." Nick said. I immediately wiped away my tears and acted like I didn't hear anything. I can't believe that I am doing this.I'm sorry dad. I entered both their minds by the time they got out of the room.

"Luce I didn't know you are here." Cap said. "Hey dad." I said. In reality I am confused and my face could hardly be read but to them I look cheerful.

"Why don't you wait here kid we're just going to discuss something." Nick Fury said and I just nodded.

I heavily sighed and went on the rooftop to have some time alone. I really can't believe everything they've said to me all this years. I even dedicated myself to the most person I could. I should've use my own power to find them. They are alive all along.  

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"I screamed in anger with the best that I can. A release of my power caused a minor quake on the area. My hair continuously changed between green, blue, red, and other colors that doesn't always show. I sat on the edge of the building and took out a mirror. My soft kind looking lips became bloody red and it extended up to the edge of my cheeks and my fair skin became pale white. My eye color became tinted red than black. It can't be. I started laughing on my own and felt good. The feeling of being insane is hovering over me which feels so good.
