As I turned off my phone and began sliding on my shoes, I heard a noise in the kitchen. I slowly got off my bed and walked towards my door. When I opened the door the slightest, I saw no one. I continued to walk out of my room, quickly and quietly, when someone grabbed me. I began screaming and yelling and trying to get the person to let go.

"Topaz, Topaz! It's me! Calm down!" Jc's voice echoed through the somewhat empty apartment.

I spun around and glared at him.

"What the hell, Jc? You know I don't like people!" I yelled and started hitting him. "How do you know where I live?"

"Ally." He stated as if it was obvious.

"I could've killed you!"

"No you couldn't have." He chuckled, finding it oddly hilarious for some reason.

"Whatever. I'm going back in my room." I grumbled.

"Uh, no. I'm helping you get over your anxiety whether you like it or not." He said, grabbing my arm.

"Uh, no thanks. I prefer to just sit inside."

"That's cool. Come on." He walked towards the door.

He turned around and when he saw that I didn't move, he crossed his arms over his chest.

"Don't make me carry you." He smirked.

When I didn't move, he came walking towards me and threw me over his shoulder, causing me to scream.

"Jc, put me down!" I beat playfully against his back.

"Will you trust me?" He asked.

"I don't trust people."

"Well, I don't put weird girls named Topaz down so now we're both stuck."

I groaned and let my arms hang as he carried me out of the apartment and locked the door.

"Will you trust me?" He asked once more.

"Fine. Yes, I will trust you." I stated.

He then dropped me down and held his hand out. I hesitated at first, but quickly interlocked our fingers. A small jolt of electricity coursed through my hand and i couldn't help but smile as he led me out of the apartment complex and into the big bad world.
