"You visited him?" Niall questioned, giving Louis a look of confusion from across the small table
"Well he was sick" Louis replied, shrugging his shoulders at his best friend as he took a bite of his sandwich "And he asked nicely" he added in defense
"When does Harry ever do anything 'nicely'?" Niall scoffed and Louis giggled quietly
"Apparently he's only nice when he's unwell" Louis answered
"Well, is he alright now?" Niall quizzed, shoving a few crisps into his mouth
"He walked me to school as usual" Louis told him "Although..."
"Although what?" Niall questioned, raising his eyebrows at his best friend
"Something awkward happened" Louis replied
"Go on" Niall urged "What did he do?"
"He didn't do anything" Louis stated and Niall furrowed his eyes in confusion "It was his mother"
"His mother?" Niall repeated, scowling when Louis' snagged a few of his crisps "What did she do?"
"She saw me sneaking out of their house" Louis replied, blushing at the memory "It was kind of embarrassing"
"She caught you sneaking out of her house?" Niall echoed "Well, what did she say?"
"She knew that I was there to see Harry" Louis explained "And... she asked if we were dating now"
"What did you tell her?" Niall asked
Louis gave him an incredulous look "Obviously I said no!" he stated "Obviously" he repeated
Niall rolled his eyes "What else did she say?" he questioned
"She invited me and my mum over for dinner tonight" Louis sighed
"But you politely declined, right?" Niall replied
Louis shuffled uncomfortably and Niall's jaw practically dropped
"You said yes?!" he shrieked "Louis, why would you do that?"
"Because she's so lovely, Niall" Louis replied in defense "I couldn't just say no to her"
"You're an idiot" Niall concluded
Louis rolled his eyes, taking another bite of his sandwich
"You do realise that this means you'll have to spend the evening with Harry" Niall stated
"I know" Louis said shortly
"And you're not bothered by that?" Niall questioned
"Well our parents are going to be there" Louis replied "What's the worst that he could do?"

He had been a complete and utter idiot to think that having his mother there would stop Harry from being his usual inappropriate self
It started off pretty normal, Louis and his mother made the short walk to Harry's house together and they greeted Harry and Anna with wide smiles
