Pharah X Male!Reader: Constellations

A/N: Hello again, friends! It's been a long, long time, but after collecting my thoughts and dealing with school, I'm BACK! And the writings will CONTINUE! ...For now, at least.

Now then, it's time to visit our favorite rocket-shooting girl! JUSTICE RAINS FROM ABOVE!!!

Ah, Egypt! The vast land of sand, with the towering monuments of one of the world's first civilizations. The Nile cuts through the harsh desert like a blade, spreading life wherever it leads. Everything about Egypt was larger than life to you. And nothing stood larger and grander to you than the two teammates who hailed from its cities.

To you, Fareeha had been a towering beacon of moral support. Every time you had faltered during a mission, the sight of her was enough to keep you going. Gazing into her deep chocolate eyes, you recalled the myths of Hathor, the Egyptian goddess of love, and her less-than-friendly counterpart, Sekhmet, the goddess of war. In a way, Fareeha shared many characteristics with them. She was kind and loyal, but also fierce and determined. You had come to admire those traits.

You had come to admire her...

It was ultimately surprising to find out you had been partnered with Fareeha one day. You felt honored. You two have had several talks during your time in Overwatch, but nothing really long or profound. Maybe you'd get a chance to have an actual conversation with her.

The two of you walked the streets of Egypt, the stars of the night sky shining above you. You could see the moon.

"Wow..." Staring up there, it looked as if the eyes of the gods and goddesses were upon you. You were so enthralled, you didn't notice until you had stopped moving.

"Y/n!" Fareeha's voice sang through the night, snapping you out of your reverie. All you could manage was a "Wh-huh?" Fareeha chuckled. "Come on, stargazer, we got a mission to do." You quickly walked beside her once more. It seemed as though she was enjoying herself.

As you two walked, you would sometimes catch Fareeha glancing in your direction, but you thought nothing of it. You had hoped that the two of you would talk, but you being... you, not much of a words person, had dashed those ideas. After a long while, your shift was over.

"All right," you said. "Nothing bad going on here, I suppose we can head back to base." You began to walk in that direction, when her hand clasped your shoulder.

"Hey. Before we go, I want to show you something." Fareeha grew an expression that was rather mischievous. Nerves instantly kicked in.

"And what is that?" You gave her a skeptical look. She pinched your nose.

"Not telling." She only offered her hand, and you reluctantly took it. At that moment, she rocketed into the sky, carrying you with her! You were startled, and let out a yell, but soon, you were having the time of your life. Soon, she shouted "Let's give you a closer look at those constellations, stargazer!" and aimed towards the Great Pyramid of Giza. You swiftly, but eloquently landed on the very top of the Pyramid, and she sat down beside you.

"Isn't this illegal?" You attempted a sour look, but that vanished when you saw her taking off her helmet. Her hair drifted in the sandy wind. You felt the heat rising to your cheeks. She gazed at you, her chocolate eyes shining.

"I'll pull some strings." She winked at you. Was she... hitting on you?

You spent the next hour or so gazing up into the night sky. It was enchanting.

"Can I ask you something?" You looked at her.

"Of course," she turned to face you. She caught the moon in her hair, and it made her all the more beautiful.

"Why did you bring me up here?"  Your eyes met her own.

"Y/n, I... I must confess, I didn't think much of you at first. You seemed like just another recruit. But as the months progressed, you revealed yourself to be a charming, intelligent, and caring man, if a little silent. I noticed how much you were into stargazing and such, and I thought about bringing you up here to see the stars from my point of view. I hope you enjoyed it." A small smile played at her lips.

You were floored. Tears began to well up in your eyes. No one had ever treated you with such kindness before. And now, here was your hero, your idol, your everything... telling you all of this.

"What's wrong?" Her face turned to one of concern. "Are you- oop!" You interrupted her question with a crushing hug. She hugged you back after a second. This was everything you could have wanted, and more. You held each other. Soon, your face, stained with tears, rose up to gaze at her. Then, your lips met. It was slow and romantic.

"Thank you," you whispered. "But, uh, how are we going to get down from here?" Fareeha started laughing, and you joined with her.

Hathor smiled upon you that night.

A/N: Holy crap, this was long overdue.

Thank you all so much! I'm so sorry I had to stop, but things were happening and I needed to focus on those above all else. I'm so grateful that my stories are getting so much love! It means so much to me! I'm also sorry that I had to close requests, it just got to a point where I needed to shut it down. Maybe I'll reopen them another time, but not now.
