Also, Dylan isn't Coles brother in this, they're just friends.

There was a total of three blankets laid on the beach. One consisted of food and drinks from Nando's, all different, new things I've never tried before; salads from all sorts of vegetables and fruit, some with chicken, others vegetarian, drinks all raging from the chocolate milkshakes, to fruit smoothies, to some odd cocktails. All different types of potatoes; fries, wedges, potato balls. It was heaven. I tried some of them and enjoyed the majority.

The second blanket had our bags and us on it, eating away ice cream while the radio blared, Let me love you by DJ snake and Justin Bieber being sung by us all in unison. We laughed at the high bits that the boys tried to sing but couldn't, my slushy almost spilling for the third time whilst I reached for another sour Haribo from my bag.

Cole brought his friends along so it wouldn't be awkward. He brought three people with him; Cora, a beautiful, dark skinned girl, with eyes a dark brown that I couldn't really look away from, hair up in crazy curls which made her even more gorgeous, lips plump which looked even better when she smiled big and wide. She was like a proper angel, she was so stunning I found it so hard to tear my eyes away from her. Thankfully, she liked me too so we ended up being friends and joking around with Fran.

A guy named Liam joined us, also dark skinned, informed us that he was Cora's brother. His eyes were a slightly lighter shade than Cora's and so was his skin, he wore highlighter and his eyebrows made mine want to hide from shame. His jaw line was a little sharper than Cora's but you could tell they were siblings from it. His hair was shorter and neatly cut, very precisely (I felt the urge to applaud his hairdresser, well done, wo/man, well done). His appearance made me hold the same stare I held with Cora, except I kind of stared at Cora at little more. I loved the fact he had some makeup on, but hated it because his highlighter was stronger than mine (I need to go shopping).

And finally, a guy named Dylan. Light hair, blonde, lighter than Coles, a greenish tone to his eyes, a weird but pleasant smile and this type of vibe he gave off. He smelt of trouble. Metaphorically. He actually smelt of strong cologne and trees but that's not the point at all. Fran had suspicious eyes, but it turned out he was the funniest, made the best jokes and owned the loudest laugh.

I felt like was suddenly in a different place altogether. We all got along so perfectly, we talked to Liam about his highlighter and I tried to hide my obvious jealousy but Cole pointed out that I was adorable when I was jealous and earned a giggle from about everyone, including me.

Fran, Me and Cora laid on one blanket, in that order, while Cole sat on the rocks with his camera and took pictures of the sea and the sun and the cliffs and occasionally sneaked some of us, telling his stories which I told him my favourite, as Dylan and Liam sat on the food blanket and ate what they could fit inside their mouths.

The sun stopped screaming its heat at us, instead, it became quieter and quieter until it was barely a whisper. It still hovered above us, just instead we weren't sweating from its warmth, we were chilling with the sea getting a little closer to us.

Cole had an idea again, asked us our swimming costume sizes and what kind we didn't like (he said he wanted to pick but didn't want to get us something we hated) and made Liam and Dylan come with him to pick them out.

'They're going to get us triangles on strings.' Laughed Fran, popping a strawberry into her mouth.

'No, they're going to get you two triangles on strings. Liam will insist on getting me a swimming coat.' Said Cora and we burst out laughing loudly and kept asking, 'Swimming coat????' in a way that made us laugh even more.

I turned to lay on my back and stared at the fading sky. The blueness of it that was blending in with the yellows of the sky, only faintly beginning to blend in with a pale orange. I felt the feeling of nervousness from earlier vanish from my gut. I was happy again. I was feeling things. I was happy. I was okay.
