"I can't believe I have had a son for seven years... And you never even told me!" Jesse yelled at Beca.
"I didn't want you to know ever, but Chloe made me feel guilty, so I gave in and called you." Beca replied.
"You should feel guilty!"
"Why, Jesse? Why?" She shot back.
"Ok, imagine this. You have a child, that you were never able to meet, and as a matter of fact didn't even know about for seven years. Then one night out of nowhere, you're ex fiancé calls and tells you that you have a son." He yelled. "Just imagine that Beca! Imagine how awful I feel!"
Beca started to cry, but Jesse just kept yelling.
"I didn't think you could get any more rude! First, you shut everybody out and yell at anyone who tries to help you! Yeah, remember college? Well I do! I forgave you for that and we got engaged. I know it was me who left and it was because I realized that you weren't the kind of person I wanted to marry! You're probably an awful mother because you are an awful person!"
"Back off, Jesse." Chloe said from the doorway. She had been watching the whole time. Beca was crying on the couch and Jesse was standing in the middle of the room yelling.
"Can't you see? You're hurting her!" She continued and walked towards the couch. She sat down and pulled the crying Beca onto her lap.
She held Beca and whispered in Beca's ear. "It's okay, calm down. It's okay, it's okay, it's okay." Beca began to calm down but was still crying.
Jesse finally realized what he had just done. "Beca, I'm sorry... I was really angry, and I lost my temper. I should not have yelled at you." He said.
Beca sniffed and looked up at him. "Do you even want to meet Reuben?" She asked.
"I do. That would be wonderful." He said softly.
