Spurious

I gave you my life,
I gave you my love,
I gave you all I had.

But in return,
all I got was beyond sad.

Your soft voice,
Hiding deep remorse.

Your beautiful face,
Hiding acts to disgrace.

Your acts of care,
Actually leading me to despair.

There are many things that happen,
and we do not know why,
There is "ok" in broken,
but no "why" in a lie.

The world is sprinkled in good,
but mobbed with defection,
Like how something so spurious,
can come from someone overflowing with perfection.

I may have given you my heart,
but I am left with my words,
that I will fill with everything I have left.

My words may not be perfect, too,
But at least I will never be as spurious as you.
