Ghost

When I found you,
My life was complete,
I found my other half.

But as things began to deplete,
All you were was an ass.

To you I put all my faith,
In return all I got was hate.

I gave you all my love,
But all I got was crud.

I gave you my life,
And you chopped it up with a knife.

As you are here flaunting,
You are also haunting,
You are the ghost that will never leave my side.

When you left me,
I was left empty,
My heart a hollow shell.

I may act cold,
But behold,
You will always be on my mind.

Even if I wanted to forget,
I could never prevent,
The ghost haunting my soul.

There is a time when everyone dies,
But mine has already come.

I may still be living,
But is a life spent in agony,
Really living at all?

There will be a day where I will fall,
And the ghost haunting my soul will be the cause of it all.
