Circus

Ever since you came into my life,
our love was nothing but chaos.

You were the ring leader,
and we were the main act,
in the circus of our love.

You told me every day that you loved me, that I was the only one,
but that's not how things were run.

You were the magician,
and I was the victim,
of our circus of love.

I knew it all along,
but I was just a fool.
I trusted your antics,
I never thought you could be this cruel.

Our love was just an illusion,
I was the freak show in the circus of our love.

I could build a castle out of all of your lies,
you could be the king of demise.

At the end of the day, I will always love you, even if I'm not the only one,
I am just a fool trapped in your circus of love.
