I should probably go get my brothers now. It's five minutes until they get out of school. Their elementary school is a two minute walk from our house, so I should make it.
Zakarree is in sixth grade and Mason is in fourth grade. Zakarree is freakin' smart. He helps me all the time with my math, science and social science homework. It's nice to have someone smart around the house. Mason is only in fourth grade but he can play basically ever sport, really really well. You name it, he can play it. I love them both so much, if anything ever happened to them... I don't even know what I'd do.
"Hey Cali!" they both came racing toward me from the other side of the park.
"Hey kiddos! How were your guys' day?" I said, ruffling their long hair, almost exactly like Axl's.
"Good, today in P.E. we ran the mile and I got third out of the whole fourth grade!"
"That's great Mason! How 'bout you, Zakarree?"
"It was pretty good, but nothing very exciting happened."
"That's okay Zakarree, maybe tomorrow will be better... for you guys at least," I said, remembering I had detention tomorrow.
"Yeah, can we play basketball in the backyard when we get home?" they said, with their adorable puppy dog eyes.
"Sure. Just come in before it gets to dark."
"Yay!" they both screamed and raced toward the house. I just chuckled to myself. I saw Axl and Mackie standing at the door and greeted the two little monsters. Both of the boys loved Axl and Mackie, but especially Axl.
They both thought Axl was just so cool and awesome. They made SURE that there hair was exactly like his and that they wore his ole hand-me-downs, so they could be JUST like him. If they knew him as we'll as I did, they would not want to be like him at all. He likes, ugh, girls. Ew.
"Hey, we're here to work on the science project with you."
Oh crap, I forgot about that.
"Um, okay. Yeah... sure. Let me, uh, set up first. Yeah, okay,"
"You forgot, didn't you?" Axl said, giving me a little smirk. Gr, sometimes I wanted to strangle him.
"Maybe, but whatever the past is the past," I said trying to get passed the subject. He just shrugged and started talking to the boys again.
Later when we finished the project that the boys "helped" us with, we all sat down at the dinner table and I made, meaning microwaved, dinner for all of us when my mom walked, or stumbled, through the door.
"Hey what took ya so long? You weren't drinking and driving were you?"
She cautiously looked around the room and then her eyes met mine once more.
"We need to talk in private... now."
A/N: Hey guys! I uploaded two chapters tonight because tomorrow I'm going to magic mountain so I know I won't be able to upload tomorrow. As always...
