I hopped into the passenger's seat in my mom's junky navy blue station wagon. Today was such a good day, except for the whole detention thing, but hey, ya know... It happens. I highly doubt my mom will understand though.

"How was school?"

"Fine... fine."

"Any homework?"

"No, but..."

"But what sweetie?"

"I have detention tomorrow," I coughed and muttered these words, hoping and praying that she didn't here me.

"YOU WHAT!!"

Guess she heard me.

"Look mom you wouldn't understand!"

She dramatically slammed on the breaks and just glared at me. Uh oh.

"I WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND?! REALLY?! I wouldn't understand huh? Really?! You suuure?!"

"Mom, we're in the middle of the intersection, you might wanna..."

"DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!!"

"Jesus Mom, just tryin' to help."

"Ya know what?! I...I'm done."

"What does that mean?"

"Get out."

Um, we are in the middle of the intersection, cars honking, and she wants me to get out?!

"Uh... Mom... had any good beer lately? Cuz I think you might've had a little too mu..."

"I SAID GET OUT!"

"Oh Jesus I'm going I'm going."

So I got out and I just so happened to see Axl and his dad, Darren and his mom and Mackie and her dad. Decisions, decisions.

"Get outta the road!!" some random guy yelled at me.

I just turned around, showed him a very special finger and said, "Make me."

He just stared back in awe and slouched in his seat a little bit, probably thinking wow a little girl just told me off. It just made me feel all warm inside.

"Hey Cali, hop in," I heard Axl yell to me. I practically sprinted to his car and hopped in the back seat.

"Hey sorry my mom kicked me out of the car and got all mad at me. I think she might've been drunk."

"Whenever kid."

Axl's dad was so cool and chill. Axl almost got held back in eighth grade and Axl's dad just said, Hey you'll know what most of the homework will be next year," and just kinda shrugged. He's also really funny. When we told him about Mrs. Whore... I MEAN LORE, whatever... when we told him about Satan (Axl and I didn't make that up, we heard someone call her that in the teacher's lounge) he just laughed at our nickname for her and said, "Hey, when the condom fits." That still has me laughing. And that was around the fourth or fifth week of school, which was about two months ago.

"This is your house right?"

"Yeah, thank you so much Mr. Matthews! Bye Axl!"

"Bye Cali!"

"Anytime kid, anytime!"

I walked up to my house, probably the smallest two story house I've ever seen. I pulled out my key and fumbled with it, like usual. My mom was probably at a bar or something getting boos, but whatever. That just means I can put off my homework even longer. I guess I should probably get my two brothers, Zakarree(thats not misspelled, sadly) and Mason, from school soon. Eh, I'll watch some T.V. first though. Nothing better than watching Sofia the First on Disney Jr. for awhile, right?

A/N: hey guys! sorry it took so long for me to update, something came up, but as always...

Enjoy!
