The Live-ins: A Glimpse Beyond The Vacationers

Paintball Season

It has been around two weeks since Christian and company began business. The crowd was tolerable of the blood trail, thankfully, because they were less than 30 and the six have already known about each other (ofc Christian kept the arranged marriage thing a secret).

However, throughout the entire week starting from today (which is a Monday) the customers have doubled, even tripled in some hours because it's---

"PAINTBALL SEASON!" Quilleanna, Quvarranna, Damien, and Dardanelle screamed at the top of their lungs.

"PAINTBALL SEASON!" the customers replied. Tons of computers were open on live streaming from the other planet, and different people, human, humanoid or centaurlike, were tuned in.

"Paintball season?" Christian and Benedict asked.

"It's the most awaited event throughout the entire world!" Quilleanna exclaimed, "It's an annual international collegiate official sport, and the best university team per country pits against the other countries in the final stages. So far, Entomon and Mandala are constantly on the finals stages, and when they face off, both planets go wild."

"Does Earth send representative teams also?" Christian asked.

"Yes," Varrah replied, "In fact, your planet has sent at most five teams per season."

"And this is the 27th season already!" Damien replied, "GO LEDDARIA!"

"L-E-DOUBLE D-A-RIA! ENTOMON'S FINEST, WE WILL RISE! L-E-DOUBLE D-A-RIA!" the Entomonian and Leddarian supporters cheered.

"Aww, come on!" a drider in the crowd shouted, "How about us, Mandalans and Pentavians? GO PENTAVIA!"

"GO PENTAVIA!" the crowd replied.

All of them whistled long and high pitched, and then they sang: "Pentavia, our alma mater! Pentavia, our alma mater! Pentavia, our alma mater! Our chosen school will reign!"

"You must be really excited for this," Benedict remarked.

"Everyone is, even Seiryu and Nosci," Quilleanna replied, "Did you know that there is a team composed of players all from the college varsities of the world, some of them hailing from the Big 4 of the Philippines?"

"We didn't know that!" the guys replied.

"Then you should," Dardanelle replied, "Now shush, the Leddaria vs Pentavia game is starting."

Everyone hushed silent for a few seconds, but alas, noise exploded again because of cheering.

To end the chapter, here is how the paintball rules are.

Every team must have 85 players with 15 reserves, and a flag.

They play paintball on a Summoners Rift like field.

Each shot to a body part earns points. Whichever team scores more points wins the match, unless the flag makes it to the end of the opposing team's side, or the opposing team's flag is 50% splattered with paint.
