(Also if I'm wrong on how the ranking bit happened, please tell me. It's been quite a while since I watched Blue Exorcist))

You would think after everything we went through to defeat Satan and save everyone things would be different and us Exwires would be moved up a few pegs. But even with all our hopes and dreams about it nothing of the sort happened. We went right back into Cram School and everything, almost, returned to normal.

Yukio was up front giving a lecture per usual but I wasn't paying attention. Per usual. With my head in my hand and being bored as can be I looked to my left, sparing a few glances from my spot two desks behind Rin and Shiemi to, my boyfriend, Bon. Just like every other relationship it had its ups and downs. But unlike the others it was because of who, or rather what, I was.

The pride and joy daughter of the Directer of True Cross Academy himself. For the longest time I kept that information between Rin, Yukio, and myself but once everyone began turning against Rin after they found out he was a demon I came out to them, announcing that I too was one which sparked mine and Bon's first fight, and break-up. It didn't last long of course, with everything we went through we were back together in no time.

A grin began to slide on my face as I remembered our "make-up" night and I tried my best to conceal it after sparing a glance up at Yukio who was, thankfully, putting all his attention on the book in front of him. From him I looked up to the clock and began biting my lip in anticipation.

'3...2...'

I let my grin free and practically jumped up from my seat to grab my things as we were dismissed.

'1'

With my sketchpad tucked in my arm and pencil in my hand I went to use my left hand to grab my bag from the floor but another seemed to beat me to it. Amused, I looked up only to see Bon himself. He had that 'forever pissed and can't wait to get the hell out of here' face as usual but his eyes softened when meeting mine, making me genuinely smile.

"Well aren't you sweet?"

He scoffed and turned his head away.

"Shaddup. What kinda boyfriend would I be if I didn't at least carry yer bag?"

At that, a grinning Rin and Shima popped over around his sides. One on each.

"The kind that lets her wear your vest."

"And buys her lunch."

"Let's not forget the roses from last week."

"Or the stuffed cat from the week before that."

I chuckled and began to walk towards the door with a blushing, embarrassed Bon at my heels.

"Oh and then that time he set up that picnic last month."

I stopped in the middle of the hallway as Bon growled and spun around to face the two, beginning to chew them out. Konekomaru stood beside me, chuckling awkwardly at his friends while I just smiled and shook my head. Just as I went to open my mouth, to tell them to knock it off and hurry up, everything in me froze as my gaze went beyond my merry group of friends. Konekomaru noticed the difference in my attitude and followed my gaze.

"Huh? You know that guy, Kaine?" ((Pronounced kine-ey))

The boys fight seemed to be totally forgotten as Bon turned to look towards me and then the newcomer, followed by Shima and Rin, who just waved it off and shrugged.

"Don't see how she could, he's new."

He grinned afterwords, a mischievous spark in his eyes.

"Unless Bon has some compition."
