I swear I could feel my eye incessantly twitching as we sat there, in complete silence. It irritated me to no end. He asked me to come with him, to eat with him, yet all he could seem to do was sit there and do....whatever it was he did with that damn phone. After a couple more minutes I snapped and, with a click of my tongue, took his phone before tucking it away into my bag. When I looked back up his eyes were locked onto me, seemingly almost impressed that I had the audacity to do such a thing.
"You invited me out for lunch. It kind of defeats the purpose when you have more attention focused on an inanimate object rather than your guest. Plus it's just plain rude. And you guys harp on us 'commoners' for lack of 'proper manners.'"
He chuckled before moving to pick up his sandwich with one hand as the other intwined itself with my own, making a slight blush come to my face.
"You're right, I apologize."
I huffed as he sent a pride filled smirk, due to my blushing no doubt, my way before I put my focus onto my fries. Though not without shifting my hand to truly grasp his, our fingers practically fitting together perfectly.
"Whatever. You're not getting it back until we leave."
Another chuckle left his lips as he bit into his sandwich and swallowed.
"Of course."
