I arrived at work once more, I have been working here for more than half a year now, and I have really come to grips with how things work around here. I have made good friends with my co-workers, especially Molly.

I dumped my bag in the staff room, wrapping my apron around my waist for another long day. Mornings were always the busiest, people always wanting to squeeze in a quick breakfast before their long day at work, which tires me out a lot.

After the morning rush had passed, there were only a few people left in the shop, mainly old people with their partners, a few mums with their children here and there. Nothing to stressful. I waited behind the counter making sure we had enough different foods at the front desk before I heard the door open, meaning another customer was entering.

They weren't like the regulars we had, it was a group of lads all wearing matching t-shirts, slightly sad. There was also quite a few of them, hopefully they don't mind sitting on separate tables.

"Table for how many?" I asked as I greeted them at the counter. "Seven please." The boy at the front of the stampede said, he seemed to be the 'father' of the group, most mature from first impressions.

"That's fine, this way please." I said with a smile, leading them to the back of the shop to two tables of four. "There we go, I'll be back in a couple of minutes to take your orders." I smiled down to them, turning around a little too swiftly and bumping into the chest of a very tall figure, how awkward. "Oh I'm sorry." I nervously chuckled, taking a few steps back, looking up to the tall figures face.

I was blown away, his bone structure was incredible, hair perfectly pushed to the side, eyes blue as the ocean. He was a good foot taller than me, which made me feel very innocent and intimidated. I stuttered a little looking up to him before scooting awkwardly past back to the counter and quickly into the staff room.

I don't know why I was getting so flustered, it was just a simple mistake, it could have happened to anyone. I guess its because he was hot my nerves just went sky high. Molly trotted up to me and squealed a little. "Oh my god Chloe they're so cute! You're lucky you got to them first." She giggles elbowing my shoulder lightly, I look in the mirror, fixing my hair and clothes, making sure I looked decent. I turn next to me and notice Molly unbuttoning the top of her shirt. "Waheyy, look who's excited." I laughed and pushed her away playfully. "What can I say?" She adds, fixing her lipstick with a smirk.

A couple of minutes later I leave the staff room and back to the group of lads, holding my notepad in front of me. I hear them laughing and taking the piss out of each other, regaining composure when they see me coming over, getting their orders ready.

"Can I take your orders please?" I asked with my pen ready to jot down everything.

"Yes can we get 4 cokes, 2 lemonades, four ham egg and chips, one cheeseburger and one plain cheeseburger." The smaller more Asian looking one said, he didn't look like he belonged in a group of boys like this, he looked to innocent.

I tried my best to concentrate on what I was writing but kept getting distracted by the boy I bumped into less than ten minutes prior, I could feel his eyes burning into the side of my face as I wrote everything down. I could feel my face turning red, which is never a good sign, I need to calm down.

"Is that all?" I asked innocently looking up from my notepad. "Nah Simon wouldn't mind your number." I hear from the other side of the table, noticing everybody looking at this one person who spoke. His hair had a slight red tint to it, his giggle very prominent after he talked.

I smiled to myself, they all seemed very funny. I just shake my head playfully. I could feel every ones eyes on me and couldn't help but panic a little. "Ill be back with your meals as soon as possible." I quickly state and leave with a small jog.

As soon as I got back to the front desk a new customer entered, I quickly jumped on it and showed them to a seat, taking their orders and giving it to the chef, along with the group of lads orders. I poured all of their drinks, placing them all on to a tray and lifting it carefully, taking a deep sigh as I start to head back towards their table.

I place the tray down and put all of the drinks that everybody ordered in front of them, briefly sharing eye contact with this so called Simon. He gave me a nervous smile and I did the same, thinking nothing of it at this moment in time. I could hear the other boys giggling in the back ground, so I left without saying a word.

I continued with the rest of the chores that needed doing whilst their orders were cooking, sweeping the floor and wiping down the sides. "Order up!" I hear, taking two trays full of food in my arms, luckily I was quite strong.

I stop and think to myself for a little bit, grabbing a napkin and pen, writing down my number roughly and placing it underneath Simons order of plain cheeseburger. I smirked to myself as I lifted the plate of food and walked back to the familiar table, he wouldn't see the note until he had finished the meal when he moves his plate which I guess is decent.

"Here ya go" I smiled down to them as I placed their food in front of everyone, making sure everyone got what they wanted. "Anything else?" I added over their several 'thankyou's'. "Yeah can we get some extra ketchup." Simon added, the first time I heard him speak since he arrived, and I have to say his voice was lovely. "Sure thing." I smiled walking back and grabbing a bottle of ketchup and laying the trays back down behind the counter.

As I walk back I see Simon notice the napkin under his plate, I prayed he kept it to himself, I couldn't take all these lads making me feel nervous. He looked up to me as I placed the bottle of ketchup next to his plate, not breaking eye contact with me as he slides the napkin into his back pocket. I smiled to myself a little as I walked away back to the counter. I couldn't keep the grin off my face for the rest of the day.

This could be the start of something.
