I sit for a second and take in his beauty. Even his flaws I find beautiful. The way that his jaw tenses a little every time he smiles. The few hairs at the bottom of his cheeks, the spots at the bottom of his chin. The concentration on his stern face as he concentrated on the road in front of him, The way he naturally moves his arms around the steering wheel as if he was born to do it. I even loved the fact he wore glasses when he drove, even though he told me he hated it. Everything was just so perfect.

"So where we headed." I say striking up a conversation after a few seconds of silence, fiddling with my phone in my lap. I was sat knees touching, my body facing the front, trying to look somewhat confident.

"It's just this bowling alley not far from here, ten minute drive max." He told me, making eye contact for a few seconds before turning back to face the dark roads in front of him.

I nodded and turned back to face the same way, hoping that this evening wasn't going to be a disaster filled with awkward silences. Knowing me it probably would be. I just hope I don't end up having a panic attack, that would be a great first impression.

A few minutes later we arrive outside of the venue, there weren't many cars outside luckily, meaning it hopefully wouldn't be as busy inside.

"We are gonna be meeting the rest in about five minutes inside, they told me to get us all a lane." He said casually, undoing his seatbelt and jumping out of the car.

"Okay." I said instinctively. The rest?! I thought it was just going to be me and Simon. It was hard enough emerging from my cave to meet one person let alone more than that? Why didn't he tell me? I could feel my heart race increasing again. I sit for a second or two and take some deep breathes, trying to calm my nerves. Pull it together.

I get out of the car and shut my door, soon hearing the satisfying lock. I walk around and meet Simon at the front of the car as we starting walking towards the front door. The atmosphere instantly changes the second we walk inside, the music loud, people talking, the faint sound of bowling balls being slammed on the floor in the distance.

We slowly walk up to the queue of people waiting to book a lane for themselves.

"So how many more people will be joining us?" I ask resting my hands in my back pockets and looking up to him furrowing my eyebrows. I'm glad I brought my face powder with me because I'm sweating like a pedo in a playground.

"Umm 7 or 8 more? Don't worry they're all lovely." He said, clearly trying to reassure me. It didn't help. Turns out I wasn't going for a date I was going for a fucking lads night out.

We eventually book a lane for all of us and walk over to type every bodies names down. I heard Simons phone go off and turned around to watch him answer.

"Yeah lane 12" He simple states and hangs up. "They're here." He adds turning to me and then back to the screen writing the last name down.

I turn around and notice a large group of lads walking down the back of the chairs behind the shelves of bowling balls, some of the faces I recognised from the café but others I had no clue. Although as they got closer I notice a familiar face. My mouth opens slightly in shock, out of all the odds of anybody in the entire world coming to play with us, it just had to be my ex boyfriend, Chris motherfucking Dixon.

I re-arrange my clothes to make sure I looked decent as they all approached, instantly noticing the change in facial expression Chris had as soon as he saw me with Simon. They all walked towards Simon and greeted naturally, Chris instantly walking over to me.

Me and Chris weren't recent at all, we dated back in the last year of secondary school, although we were dating for about a year and a half. I left him due to him cheating, I wonder if he had changed at all.

"Hey Chloe!" He over enthusiastically said, pulling me in for a hug. I was never much of a hugger, the thought of unnecessary human contact pisses me off. I still oblige kindly though. "Hi" I simple state, looking down to the ground slightly feeling extremely awkward.

"Wait you know eachother?" Simon butts in, with a very confused look on his face, pointing at the both of us. Everyone was now looking at us, I officially want to die.

"Yeah we dated way back in secondary." Chris laughed. His constant positive attitude kind of put me off.

"Oh wow! Sorry Chloe I forgot to introduce you to the rest of the guys. Chris you already know, this is Callux, Josh, Ethan, Vikk, Tobi, JJ, Lewis and harry." Simon said pointing to each of them individually. "Hi." I smiled. "Hopefully I'll remember all of that." I say breaking the slight tension between us all, I hated meeting new people, especially in large groups.

We all eventually managed to sit down and start the game, I had Simon one side of me and JJ the other side of me. Me and JJ hit it off immediately, he was so funny. His sense of humour just made me laugh so much. I could already tell we were going to be really good friends, I guess this whole meeting new people thing isn't so bad after all.

It got to my turn and everyone was watching me as I picked a ball up, and walked towards the lane. I was quite nervous, I hated being the centre of attention.

I did the best I could, throwing it with as much power possible. Luckily the barriers were kept up because I have a terrible aim. I only knocked over a few pins, how underwhelming. I turned round to see everyone giving me a sarcastic clap, which I didn't hesitate to flip them off to.

My second go was much better, I ended up knocking the rest of the pins down and walking back to sit down. JJ was after me, leaving me alone with Simon.

He turned to me and smiled. I could tell he was like me, never wanting to make the first move. Always worried about saying the wrong thing.

"So, what happened with you and Chris?" He asked slightly out of the blue. I didn't really want to pour my heart out to a guy I only just met about a week ago. I decide to try and just avoid the subject. "We dated back in like year 11, no biggie." I say with a nervous laugh afterwards, I didn't want to tell him that he cheated on me, it might damage their friendship.

"Oh okay." He replied as bluntly as I did. "Let me get to know you a bit better, what's with all the matching shirts?" I asked. It had been bugging me ever since I saw them all wearing them in the café.

He chuckled slightly and turned to look down to me. "Basically most of us here are youtubers, and we are in a group called 'The Sidemen', hence the 'SDMN'." He explained, I just nodded along, they couldn't have been that big otherwise I would have heard of them before.

"Oh that's cool, how many subscribers do you have?" I asked tilting my head a little, crossing my legs so It looked like I was showing more interest.

"Well on my main channel I have 5 million." He tells me casually. I open my mouth slightly and crease my eyes. "No way you have 5 million, that's mad!" I tell him with a slight giggle. He pulls his phone out of his pocket with a cheeky smirk. "I'll prove it." He smugly tells me, with a little chuckle at the end.

He holds up the screen to my face as I read what it said on screen. He was right, 5 million. How have I not heard of him before?! "That's amazing!" I smiled and clapped my hands lightly. I read his channel name and write it on my hand.

Soon after the bowling was finished, Simon taking a shameless victory, and Harry coming last. The only people I have really gotten to know tonight is Simon, JJ and Josh. The rest I haven't properly spoken to yet but I'm sure I will in the future.

"Hang on before I leave I just need to use the loo." I state and quickly make my way to the womens bathroom, doing my business and then checking I looked okay in the mirror. I powdered my face and adjusted my hair slightly. I just shrug in the mirror, content with my appearance.

I open the door and walk out of the toilets before suddenly being pulled around a corner. I panic and struggled, trying to get whosever hands were on me off. I was pushed against a wall and realised I was face to face with Chris. My breathing increased as he looked down to me, his hands either side of my forearm holding me in place before I could even say anything he leaned down and kissed me.
