I probably should have waited longer until I update but oh well. :')

"Just a minute ago, you essentially forced me into agreeing to spend every second of my summer with you, and now you're not even letting me sleep on the bed?" Kai questions aloud.

"Well," I say as I yank the pillow in my possession in varying directions preparing it for its purpose, "you're too drunk to drive and I would feel guilty sending you in a cab."

"Well, how come you get the bed?" he pouts like a child would who had just been told no.

"Because," I use the most respectable answer.

"And you're not allowed to play the floor card, I offered you the couch," I add as I toss a firm pillow to him which he effortlessly catches in his hand. It would take most people two hands, but because his are so large, only one is necessary.

"Half of my legs hang off the ends!" he claims in defense.

"Sure they do," sarcasm fills my tone. I wouldn't say the allegation is absurd or far-fetched, but it's more fun messing with him. I untuck the white duvet enough for me to slip between the welcoming warmth.

Kai is still adjusting in his makeshift bed.

"So, how is this going to work anyway?" Kai questions once he defers from rustling with the sheets. I knew he wasn't talking about the sleeping arrangements.

"I don't know," I say honestly as the ceiling fan's continuous cycle absorbs all of my attention.

"You don't think we're taking things too fast do you?" he chatters with a tinge of nervousness.

I make move to the barrier between Kai and I and hold my head over the bed frame so his yearning eyes are barely within sight.

"You can relax, it's not like I'm trying to make you fall in love with me. We'll go wherever it takes us," I will.

My words bring him no effect, so I send him to turn off the light. I would do it myself, but why would I when he could.

The dramatic huffs and puffs don't go unnoticed as time stays steady. I shake my head, not that he could see.

"Kai," I call quietly. I believe there's a chance he doesn't hear me but his vocal response disproves that.

"You can sleep on the bed if you want," I stay staring into the wall as I say this. I knew from the beginning he wouldn't sleep on the floor, but the knowledge that he didn't is what made the conditions pleasurable.

I hear a mild ruckus from where he lay and stifle my laughter when a knock followed by profanities rattle.

I feel the shift in the elevation where his weight is in effect but remain laying on my side with my head mirroring the wall.

"I knew you couldn't resist me," he jives.

I actuate onto my back and crane my neck to meet his face. His arms are crossed behind his head and his fingers are matted into his hair.

"It seems that I'm already pretty good at that skill, wouldn't you say?" I smile an arrogant one. My eyes reach his hardly visible stomach and I urge my finger tips to run across the surface up to the waistband of his pants.

I smile again at his alert eyes before returning to my previous position.

He lets out a curt laugh, obviously unamused by the meager interaction that I don't acknowledge.

Before I fall into a trance of unfathomable dormancy, I peach out over the ringing of the fan a weak, sleep advocated whisper,

"don't murder me."
