Warning. Very sad. I'm sorry because I said I was gonna make this one happier but I need to move the plot along a bit.
The picture at the top is what I imagine Izzy to look like.
Phil's POV
Izzy was ill. Very ill. Flashing lights and sirens ill. All day she had been complaining about aching all over her body, and feeling tired, but Dan and I just brushed it off as a side effect of the hormones she'd recently started taking. But when Emily ran into our room saying she'd been vomiting, we knew there was a problem. I ran in and checked her temperature, and she had a fever of 40 degrees Celsius. Then without warning, her entire body began to tremble, and she started having what looked like a seizure.

"Dan!!" I screamed out, panic rising in my throat, "Call an ambulance!"
He yelled something back about phoning them now. Keep it together Phil. You can't fall apart, not in front of your children. That the only thing that was stopping me from dissolving into panic.

I noticed that Emily was crying.
"Come here Em," I spoke softly as I pulled her into my lap. She was in too much of a state to come in the ambulance. Plus it wouldn't be fair, she'd be too scared. Once Dan was with Izzy, following the instructions being given to him by the operator, I took Emily out of the room. She shouldn't have had to see as much as she did.
"I'm gonna call Auntie Zoe and she's going to look after you while we take Izzy to the doctors, okay?"
She nodded, so I grabbed my phone and dialled her. Luckily, she answered.

Hi Zoe
Hi... Urm Phil you do realise it's 2:30 am?
Yeah, I know, it's just, Izzy is sick, like, really sick.
Do you need me to come over?
No, it's okay, but can I drop Emily over to you, I'll explain properly when I get there.
Sure, I'll wake Louise now, bye.
Bye.

I shouted to Dan where I was going, and I told him I'd meet him at the hospital. Then I bundled Em up into the car and we drove to Zoe and Louise's apartment. Zoe opened it and she pulled me into a hug.
"So you'll pick her up in the morning?" She asked.
"Well... It will depend what they say in the hospital I guess, I'm meeting Dan there, he's gone with Izzy in the ambulance."
"Oh god..." Zoe's face fell, "when you said really sick, I didn't think you meant that sick. I hope she's okay..."

It was the look of panic on Zoe's face that broke me. I burst into tears after hearing her voice the thoughts in my head. I didn't know what to do. Zoe pulled me into another hug.
"Phil, I don't know what to say, but you're in no fit state to drive. Let Louise take you." I just nodded, not having the energy or willpower to argue.

We got in the car and began the drive.

Dan's POV
After what felt like hours, the ambulance arrived, they put her under general anaesthetic so that she would just sleep, and feel no pain. They said that they didn't want to give her any painkillers until they had a proper diagnosis. I texted Phil and he said that Louise was driving him to the hospital. I was glad, he would likely be in no fit state to drive.

When we arrived they wheeled her into a room and waited for her to come around. When she did, they performed a lot of tests, and took them off to examine them. All we could do was wait.

Zoe's POV
"Auntie Zoe?" Emily said, worriedly.
"Yes?" I replied, whilst making hot chocolate for both of us.
"I'm scared. I don't want Izzy to die. She isn't only my twin, she's my best friend." And with that, she burst into tears. But I didn't know what to say. I couldn't tell her that everything would be okay, because I didn't know if it would. I ended up hugging her, and putting her in the car. I knew Dan and Phil would be mad, but this little girl needed to see her sister, and be with her family.

Dan's POV
Everyone arrived at the same time. I wasn't mad at Zoe once I saw the state that Em was in. She needed to be with her family.

The doctors came in, and we all just looked at them. All being me, Louise, Zoe, Phil and Emily. Izzy was asleep again.

"We're very sorry, but the test results are leading us to believe that Izzy has acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. She has approximately a 40% chance of surviving, if we begin treatment immediately."

I got up and walked to where Phil and Emily were sat, and all three of us just hugged and sobbed.
