It's no secret that the first hint of pregnancy is painful boobs. Personally, it was the ability to eat a 12 inch sub and still want a burger afterwards. And a sundae. But I did also have super sore breasts. Like, the kind of sore where it hurts to walk, or go down the stairs or move your body in any way, shape, or form.
As things progress, they just get bigger and bigger, preparing for the important work of nourishing a human. And your existing bras and shirts get more and more....indecent.
It was time for more support.
I tried the bras at the Canadian maternity stores, and they were total garbage. Not only ugly, but also poorly fitting with no support. That just isn't happening for me. I have to go to work, and LIVE MY LIFE! And its really the last hurrah for me in the boob department before the post-baby deflate-gate. So I was not cheaping out.
I made an appointment for the amazing store Secrets From Your Sister to get me some new gear that would take me through pregnancy until I needed to switch to nursing bras.
Fitting advice from them:
- don't buy underwire - there's more room to grow without it.
Of course, I chose the ones that looked best. Which meant underwire haha. They look great though, I love them.
I also bought one sports bra (no underwire) to hold me over at the gym.
No pics on this post (sorry!), except for the SHOCKING measurements I have reached. (Also, no matter your life stage, get a proper bra fitting. It's a game changer. #TRUST)
