With a comeback from me. -L

Morning brings clarity of mind. That's not always a good thing.

Morning is when he sees Alexander slumped over his computer, fast asleep. It's when he gets the pang in his chest and just wishes he could be better. When he softly slides the other man out of his chair and carries him to his bed, setting him down and praying that he won't remember that he never got into bed.

Morning is when she sits by herself, too afraid to speak out. She knows she's "ahead" of others, but that doesn't mean anything good for her. They all think she's a freak. Even her younger sisters. Especially Peggy, who never allowed her to get very close. It's when she realizes that she is truly alone.

Morning is when she wakes up and sees Maria in her bed, and sees her tear-stained cheeks. It's when she wishes there was something she could say, but not all the wishing in the world could bring her to speak up. Morning brings a sense of failure that she didn't even know she could have.

Morning brings little kisses and soft words, wondering when life will get better for her. She cares about Burr deeply, but knows that at any moment, her financial situation could plummet, and she'd be forced to exit college. Morning is when these realizations come and she just goes through it anyways.

Morning is when she can let herself prepare. It's when she prepares for her last year of high school, trying desperately to get through each day. Morning is when the boy with the curly hair says hello and makes her smile.

Morning is when he wakes up, and is forced into shoes he doesn't want to be in. It's when he remembers that everyone just sees him as the comic relief, and no one can help him now. Even his boyfriend keeps him around for laughs. He doesn't want to slip into these shoes today. Or any day.

Morning is when Madison is tired. He's so tired, and he hasn't slept well in days, but nobody cares enough to check. But it's okay though, because he gets good grades. He wishes that wasn't what the world cares about.

Morning is when Professor Washington prepares his lesson, prepares himself for the taunts of students, the crying when students receive their tests back, the hatred filled glares of all who enter his room. He just wants to go back to his wife, and live a quiet life.
