Another year. Angelica technically could have graduated last year, because she advanced so much, but she likes George, and the teaching assistant position is good experience. Besides, this year she gets to be with both of her sisters! That's new.

She walks slowly to her car. She loves college. Angelica thrives on the brilliant minds around her. Maybe this year would bring some new ones?

Eliza hugs her father, Philip Schuyler. "Thank you daddy!" She squeals, squeezing his chest.

He chuckles, wrapping his arms around her. "Of course, Elizabeth. We're so proud of you!"

She pulls apart and kisses him on the cheek. Eliza would finally be able to do what she knew would make a difference! She was going to help so many kids!

James is working on an email to an old French teacher when he gets the letter. The letter that, when opened, will guarantee him success. Full ride scholarship.

This normally reserved man can't help the whoop of joy that bursts free of his chest.

A prestigious school, a great community, minds to match his own and...

And Thomas.

Washington looks at his "promising" students. In his opinion, all students are promising, but it's required that he at least consider extension.

The list has about twenty names, each holding a different young person who hopes to get out of here a better person than when they began. A surprising number of freshmen!

Alexander Hamilton- an immigrant from the Caribbean!
Margarita Schuyler- oh, he knows that name. Apparently both she and Eliza are coming in this year.
Thomas Jefferson- talented in too many areas to count.
James Madison- intelligent. That's... all. Hm.

He scans the other names, then starts at one that's crossed out. He understands adding names to the list, but why would they cross them out?

He can make out the name just barely. John Laurens?

Lafayette is beyond excited about this. He's going to an American school! With people who speak English, and football that is not soccer!

Of course, all that seems petty when he meets his roommate for the first time.
Hercules Mulligan. Just the name now sends shivers of delight down his spine. Sweet, compassionate, hilarious Hercules.

He doesn't even know what to do with himself. Is he even in Mulligan's league?

Jenna takes a deep breath, flexing in the mirror. She's got this. College? Psh. No brainer.

She cracks her neck. Hours upon hours of work each night? Piece of cake.

Pops her knuckles. Gain complete individuality and independency? All below her.

Just... please let there be no manipulative people. Three was enough.

John slowly hands the letter over to his father, siblings gathering around to stare. His father immediately rips it open with a grin.

A letter from a college.

It was no secret what a talented athlete John is. Could this be....

One of his younger sister's peaks over Henry Laurens' shoulder.

She screams. "Full ride!"

John breathes sigh of relief.

Finally, he can get out of this place. He just hopes his siblings will be ok.
