OWLs and Snape

Rose's POV

We were taking our final OWL exam and which was a DADA theory test. Remus sat behind looking at his paper scrabbling out some answers and rewording them. The other day he'd helped me study for my Arithmancy exam. I believe I managed to get an Exceeds Expectations, but I want know for a few weeks.

When the exam finished Professor Flitwick summon the test sheets to him. But the hundreds of scrolls knocked him over. Though he managed not to drop any and some students in the front row helped him up.

I followed the boys outside while James asked Remus about the werewolf question in the test. We all laughed when he answered "I think so. One — he's sitting in my chair. Two — he's wearing my clothes. Three — His name's Remus Lupin." Even the question asked for five signs to identify a werewolf.

Peter went on talking about the snout and tail. Sirius rolled his eyes at this making sarcastic comment. About us hanging out with a werewolf once a month. While Remus scolded him looking around, I slapped the back of his head.

We sat under a tree while Remus read a book. I sat on a low branch fiddling with the Gryffindor necklace James gave me for my Birthday two years ago. James was catching and releasing a snitch he borrowed while Peter watched in awe.  Sirius was relaxing on his back beside Remus.

"James stop that before you make Wormtail wet himself" Sirius said with his eyes closed.

"OK" James said catching the snitch and pocketing it while Peter blushed. He looked around and spotted my sister near the lake with our dorm mates. James ruffled his hair as I rolled my eyes. "I'm bored" he whined five minutes later and I put down the book I was about to read.

"I think I know how to cure your boredom Prongs, look who it is" Sirius said standing up. I didn't have to look to know they were talking about Snape. Remus continued to read ignoring them and I did the same with my book.

"Excellent Snivellus" James said grinning and stood up drawing his wand. Both Remus and I tried to ignore what was happening near us. James and Sirius approached Snape with Peter following them.

"Oh Snivellus" Sirius shouted and Snape reacted at once dropping his stuff going to his pocket. But he was to slow and James shot a spell at him disarming him. Sirius then did a binding spell on Snape.

Who swore a string of curse words and James used a cleansing spell. Soap appeared in Severus's mouth and he started to choke a little. "Leave him alone" Lily demanded as she walked over to them. I hide behind the trunk so that she wouldn't see me there.

James said he would if Lily went out with him. When she refused Sirius teased James before turning back to Snape. Who had launched himself at his wand shooting a spell at James cutting his cheek.

Sirius then lifted Snape into the air by his ankle using a spell. Lily took out her own wand and demanded James release Snape. When James did Snape fell to the ground and James said "you are lucky Evans is here to protect you."

"I don't need help from that Mud-blood!" Snape spat and I drew my wand jumping down from the tree.

"How dare you insult my sister Levicorpus" I snarled pointing my wand at him.

"Fine I won't bother in future and wash your pants Snivellus" Lily stated before walking away. James took over from me and I ran after my sister to comfort her. I knew Remus or Sirius would collect my things and take them back to the common room for me.
