Run Away

Rose's POV

We had finished our fifth year at Hogwarts and were on our summer holidays. I still have not yet received my OWLs results and neither has Lily. But James sent me a letter asking me to come over. He wants some advice on how to win my sister's (Lily's) heart.

My Mum aloud me to go as Dad was not home due to work. Fleamont came to collect me and we apperated to the end of their street as usual. I didn't tell Lily where I was going, she believes I have gone to see Remus.

Yes I have been to Remus's place before on several occasions. We usual did homework unless the others were there. I have never been the Sirius's house or Peter's.

"Thank you, Fleamont" I said as he opened the front door for me. Euphemia greeted me with a tight hug. Before telling me James was in his room waiting. I thanked her and headed upstairs to find James sitting at his desk. "Since when do you do homework?" I asked stepping into the room.

He jumped and hurried to hide what he was writing. "Rose, I didn't expect you here so quickly" he said looking flustered.

"I'll just leave then" I said turning towards the door to his room.

"No, don't leave I need your help" James said desperately grabbed my arm tightly to stop me from leaving.

"First ow and second what help do you need?" I said pulling out of his hold. I rubbed my arm as I sat on his bed.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to hurt you and I want some advice on your sister" he stated sitting in his chair again.

"First of all stop asking her out every time you see her wait for the right moment. Second befriend her first before dating her. And lastly don't hex Snape in front of her" I told him. James sighed, but agreed to do as I say.

Suddenly we heard the front door bang open downstairs and running footsteps on the stairs. Both James and I grabbed our wands pointing them at his door way. Sirius burst into the room with a duffle bag either shoulder.

"I did it James I ran away from that house and I'm not going back" he stated. Then he spots me standing next to James with our wands pointing at him. "Rose what are you doing here? Will you guys put away your wands?" he asked.

"Why would you run away from your house?" I asked confused. The two boys exchanged a look and Sirius sighed. He then told me how badly he was treated at home for being in Gryffindor. Also that his own family and our brother & father sees him as a blood traitor.

I pulled him into a hug and said "I'm sorry I wasn't there for you Padfoot. But you still have me and I love you big brother." When I said this he held me tight and we both have tears in our eyes.

Euphemia comes in "it is time for dinner and Sirius you are welcome to stay here until you find a place." After she said that she went back downstairs and we followed her to the dining room. Once dinner was over Fleamont took me home after I said my goodbyes to everyone.
