Chapter 4~

The week went by extremely fast, Tyler and I were officially going out as Aleeza put it. We had lunch together every day, he sat beside me in class, and calls me every night and we would talk for hours.

Aleeza was exited for the party tomorrow night. Once Saturday came Aleeza and Nawsheen came to my place. They came over to get ready for the party tonight. Cam was still mad at me, and I still didn’t know why? I decided to ask Aleeza and Nawsheen. I lied down on my bed reading one of my music magazines.

“Hey, do you know why Cam is mad at me?” I asked them. They both stopped what they were doing ad turned around with a confused look on their faces.

"Cam’s not mad at you” Aleeza said

“Why do you think he’s mad at you?” Nawsheen asked

“I don’t know he’s been acting very weird the past 2 weeks, and he is ignoring” I answered with a shrug. Then went back to reading my magazine while they got ready.

“Cam’s not mad you. He’s mad at himself” she said. Now it was my turn to stop what I was doing and give them a confused look.

“Mad at himself for what? I asked

“Don't you notice?” Aleeza asked

“Notice what?” I said still confused

“Cam is going to kill for saying this, but you are so clueless. Cam is in love you.” they both said.

I didn't say anything I just looked at them. What? Did they just say Cam is in love with me? Cam? As in Cam my best friend since first grade Cam? Wow are they OK or what? Cam’s not in love with me. Were best friends nothing more. After looking at them for what seemed to feel like hours, I finally I said something

“Guys you’re delusional, Jake isn’t in love with me” I said, laughing to assure myself.

“Girl, yes he is” Aleeza said. We kept going back and forth or a few minutes. Until I’ve had enough.

“You know what I’ll go ask him, and admit to you that he’s not in love with me ”

I left my room walked and downstairs, then out the door. I went across the street to Cam’s house to talk. whilst Aleeza and Nawsheen are at my house getting ready. I rang the door bell twice until it swung open revealing Anna Cam’s mom.

“Hey Anna, is Cam home?” I asked with a smiling

“Yeah, he's up in his room. You can go on up” she said .

I went up the stairs and open Cam’s door. I saw him lying down on his bed with his headphones over his ears looking at the ceiling. He didn’t see me walk in.

“Hey, I see the ceiling is more fascinating than me” I said while pulling his headphones from his head.

“Hey” he replied back with a small smile, but I could see right through it, it was fake. He was still acting the same way he was yesterday. I made an excuse to ask him if he is coming to the party tonight. I was surprised at his answer yeah.

“So, I guess I will see you at my house around 7:00?”I said.

“Hey Sam, you look good” he said smiling. Right there I noticed the complements, the laughing at every joke I say even though it's not funny everything Cam made it more clear that he likes me. I missed his smile.

“I miss your smile” I said. I can believe I said that out loud I said to myself, “Cam can I ask you something?” I asked

“Shoot” he said
