Braden POV

She looks so beautiful, with the veil covering her face, and her hair curlier than ever. Her deep blue eyes sparkle like a thousand stars, and her lips red as a rose. The same they've always been.

I'm suddenly very nervous, but the sight of Odeya's calmness and excitement, put me at ease.

Her dress is amazing. Like nothing I have ever seen before.

I've just met Carly, right before Odeya came around that corner, looking like an angel. I love how Carly is basically a little ball of energy and joy. No wonder Odeya chose her has a friend.

I'm so relieved that Odeya is safe. That we're all safe.

She makes it to the steps that lead to me. She now stands next to me.

Odeya smiles that dazzling smile and looks right into my eyes. I smile back and take her hands in my own.

Kyle starts with the speeches, and soon, we are to the vows.
"....I will love you to the end. In sickness and in health. I will love you until our deaths." Odeya finishes.
"....And in sickness and in health I will love you until the day we die. But much longer." I slip the ring on her finger, and she slips the one her father gave her, on mine.
"Braden." Kyle says. "You may kiss the bride."

I flip the veil over her head, wrap my arm around her waist, dip her slightly, and kiss her. The kiss fills me with warmth and hope. Something I never want to lose.

We break apart and all four of them start clapping.

We bow like it's a show, and straighten up, laughing.

Odeya goes and hugs Kyle- him making a gagging face as she did, but hugs her back.

Odeya next goes to her father. Thomas hugs her tightly and kisses the top of her head. They exchange a few words.

Her mother comes right up, and squeezes her so tight, I see Odeya's face get red. Jessie kisses both of her cheeks and whispers something in her ear. Odeya smiles a sad smile at her mom, then practically runs into Carly's open arms.

They hug each other tightly, tears slip down both of their cheeks. I hear Carly say, "You're gonna smear your make-up!" Odeya laughs and goes in for one last hug.

But.

Sirens, gunshots, and screams, echo to us from the town. Just miles away.
Odeya looks at me. Panic flaring in her eyes.
