I jumped awake breathing heavy, that was the first nightmare I've had in months. Damn... They were starting to go away (or not). But this time I couldn't remember what I saw last night.
I flinch at the sudden sting piercing my chest and look down at my scar. The pain didn't cease until it felt like forever. DAMN! THAT FREAKING HURT!
It's never really done that before, but it was quite an unusual scar with a weird wiggly kind of violent shape. And I've had it there at the Centre of my chest. Forever....I run my sweaty hands through my hair and look down at my alarm to see its big green numbers; 3:30 am. I lie down once more trying to drift off but I just can't seem to close my eyes too afraid of what I'd see this time.
Although I couldn't really remember what I'd dreamt about, there was this feeling I had, it felt familiar, and I felt it in that dream as well. I couldn't quite put a finger on it until I did...
Water...I stared at the ceiling for about an hour, dazed until I jumped to the sound of a loud 'BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!'
I swear to god one day I would die of a heart attack due to my damn alarm that can't shut up when it's supposed to shut up.
It was already 4:30 am, which meant I had training this morning. At Least it would keep my mind off of things, sometimes I felt like the water would just make my problems float away, drifting off and then fade into nothingless vapor. That morning I ended up plopping onto the floor after finishing 100 push ups, it was my consequence for showing up 10 minutes late. I felt heat radiating out of every pore and slipped into the pool to enjoy the cool relief.
I joined the others for the rest of the set focusing on my breast stroke, breathe, kick, breath, legs up, toes out, breathe! And repeat.
Taking a sip of my water, my eyes caught something among the rest of the swimmers and I couldn't look away. Those blue eyes were stunning, it was the girl that bumped into me the other day. I noticed a strand of almond hair hanging out of her cap and her face was red, really red. But she hadn't noticed me, I caught myself staring until she looked my way, her eyes holding mine in its place and I reluctantly turned away.I dashed into the changing room not bothering to take a shower, slipping into a loose pair of cargo pants and a grey t-shirt.
I stood outside not really sure what I was waiting for. Sea blue I eyes I thought. I needed another look them, it was almost addictive those eyes, so I stood there, and waited and yawned and pretended I was going through a few texts until I heard someone arguing. There was a tall brunette, she looked older with her hair loose and some lip gloss, wearing a crop top with mini shorts and flip flops. She was walking towards me to the exit and behind her were those eyes again. Why am I feeling this way?
She looked annoyed and she seemed to be arguing with the shrieking brunette in front of her. Only now I noticed how cute the 'pissed of' look looked on her, her brow furrowed until she glanced at me and blushed, turning around and following the brunette out.School of course, was again boring. Our first period being English Literature followed by physics and chemistry. This was my lunch break, I sat by Jaden, who had his arm around a blond hitting off with his charm while I munched on my burger.
I surveyed the crowd spotting Will Pecker, one of the most popular seniors, with his usual gang, flirting with a bunch of girls. Will Pecker was also famous for his devilish charm, but he is known as a big player, most of the girls around here would kill to have him, literally. But he never really seemed the relationship kinda guy, he'd probably have some fun for a few days with one of the chicks before tossing them aside like toys and moving on to the next.
I never really liked the guy, he was too egotistical and proud, not giving a shit about the feelings and hearts he broke. Most worst of all, he seemed to like it. I watched him as he caressed a girls cheek leaning in to kiss her and was suddenly taken away as a familiar face walked into food court. My burger fell out of my grasp and my jaw dropped as I watched the girl with brown, almond hair, a pointed nose and those blue eyes I so longingly loved looking into, walked slowly past a few tables. She was wearing skinny jeans with a black tank top, her arms wrapped around a few books, ducking her head as she took a seat at the last table, deserted.
