"Again! Again!" Giggled Hailey, her hands raised
"Hahaha! That's enough Hails, it's bedtime. Come on! Let's go!"
Hailey stands there with her arms crossed and puts on her pouty face.
Oh god!
"Hailey not this again!"I moved forward and carried her into my arms, her small body over my shoulder as she kicked and struggled to be in liberty of my embrace.
"PUT! ME! DOWN!"
I walk up the stairs into her bedroom, turning on the light before lying her against the sheets. I stroked her hair until her eyes fluttered shut and pulled the blankets over her.
My parents weren't home yet, as usual. Which left me with babysitting and everything else an 18 year old was not supposed to do.
Primrose.
The only thing that didn't leave my mind since the moment I held her soft palms, I've never touched anything so fragile. Her blue eyes up close were even more beautiful, and her constant blush was adorable.
That morning at training, there was a brief announcement about a sea swim that we would have to be attending this September. I didn't see Primrose today, so I assumed she didn't turn up for training. I guess I'd just be seeing her at school today and then I could tell her about the sea swim.
I kept my eye out for Primrose as I walked past a hundred teenagers until I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around wishing I could just hide somewhere.
"Hey Miles!" Lissa winked
"What's up Liss?" I watched from the corner of my eyes, looking for an escape
"You haven't spoken to me lately" she said, as her fingers walked up my chest
"Umm...I've...been...busy!" I reply, feeling uncomfortable
"What do you say I come by your house today?" She flirts
"Yeeah, I don't think that would be a great idea, see I've gotta run some errands"
"Pity" she whispers into my ear before walking off
I let out a loud sigh and hear the first bell ring. I sprint towards the physics lab with my notes at hand, hoping I'm not late for my practical.
"You're late Mr. Parker!" Shrieked Miss Helen
"I'm sorry, it won't happen again"
"Those were the exact words you said the last time you were late! Last chance Parker! You'll find your ass in the principles office the next time you show up late!"
"Yes sir"
We resumed with more calculations and equations, Miss Helen kept glaring at me every now and then which made me slightly uneasy. I was relieved when she announced,
"Class you're dismissed!"
I was already out the door
"Except for you Mr. Parker!" There were a series of 'oohs' as I walked towards the front desk.
Miss Helen waited till everyone left and leaned back in her chair glowering at me.
"You better watch your back Parker!" She spat
I stood there, confused and bewildered. What was she talking about? I was late... Twice! It's not like I committed murder."Don't think I'm gonna let you slip away! I'll be coming!"
There weren't words coming out of my mouth.
"Leave!"
I almost ran out the door, terrified. What was that? I'll be coming? What did she mean?
All of a sudden something didn't feel right, and I spotted Primrose throwing books into her locker looking pissed.
Guess she wasn't having much of a good day too.
