"Dad cheated on Mom."

Woah!

Infidelity. Honestly, I had no clue. It was quite a revelation!

Oh, wait.

There was a rumor. However, it was the other way around. They said it was his mom who cheated. Of course, I never really believed in rumors anyway.

"There was a woman — actually, a girl." He continued, a shadow cast over his face. "The home wrecker's only five years older than I am. She could be my sister!" He said, facing me. "But, no. She was my dad's mistress."

A girl. His dad's mistress is a girl. Obviously, this girl wasn't thinking straight when she dated Andrew's dad behind their backs. I don't want to be judgemental, but I don't understand people like them. They ruin relationships and families for what? For their own interests? For love? I don't even believe that's love. Because if you truly love someone, you will do what is right for that person, even if you get hurt by doing so. Love builds homes, not ruin them.

I didn't know what to say, or how to respond to that. So, I just listened. I know he needed someone to listen to him that very moment.

"It was my birthday, five years ago. Dad said he'd be late from work. Unfortunately, he never showed up at the party. So, I told Mom I wanna pay him a visit in his workplace.

I was excited to see him. But, everything went crumbling down when I saw her in his office.

Raven black hair, big brown eyes, red lips, and a red dress. All of that — she was sitting on my Dad's lap, and Dad was holding her like how a man would hold his lover." He grimaced when he said that last sentence.

"I felt sick with what I saw," he continued. "Mom followed behind me. She was so shocked when she saw them. She couldn't believe that the man she loved and trusted most betrayed her. I saw hurt and anger in her eyes. So, before he could even say anything to explain himself, I pulled Mom and myself out of his office, and out of the building.

Mom never stopped crying after that night. She's still crying until now. She's still brokenhearted because she still loves him. And I can't do anything about it."

As he was telling me this, tears escaped his eyes. Now, I understand now why he despises his dad so much.

"I never saw him after that, especially when I became busy because of showbiz," he continued. "He would call Mom because he wanted to see me and Haley. But I would always refuse.

I refuse to see him. I refuse to talk to him. Hell, I even refuse to talk about him!"

My heart broke into pieces for this man, this beautiful man. Andrew, to everyone, is someone who would always put other people's happiness first before his own. I didn't know he is this broken, and it's something I didn't expect to see.

"He said we're still a family," he scoffed. "Well, I got news flash for him... He already destroyed this family because of his infidelity! He can go to hell for all I care. As for me, I don't want anything to do with him."
