One Shots : Chanbaek

Chanyeol

Baekhyun was a dendrophile — he loved this tree which he named Chanyeol, but they weren't boyfriends, at least not yet.

Chanyeol was a tree in his backyard which he describes as tall, sexy, strong, powerful and great in bed—okay, maybe not in bed but you get the picture.

Baekhyun was at school, supposed to be paying attention but his mind drifted off to Chanyeol. Is he alright? I wonder if he misses me. The gardener's coming today so I hope he doesn't....doesn't...oh my God, if he dare touches my Chan—

"Mr. Byun, focus please!" His Chemistry teacher scolded and he merely smiled at the teacher before putting his focus on the board. I will focus only because I don't want to think bad thoughts...

His school day finally ended and he rushed out of the compound as fast he could just so he can see his precious Chanyeol. It's been 8 dreadful hours since he last saw him and he feels terrible about that.

Upon reaching his house, he dashed into the living room, dropping his bag and running straight out to the backyard. He smiled as he realized that his Chanyeol was unharmed and is just as how he left him. Baekhyun ran to the tree and hugged it tightly, muttering about how glad he was to see him.

"Did you miss me, Yeollie?" Yeollie was a nickname for Chanyeol. When Baekhyun told him that, he could've sworn Chanyeol cried happy tears and told him that he loved that nickname. "Of course you did!" He said happily, still clinging onto the tree.

He finally let go and looked down as if he was shy, "Yeollie, can I....can I kiss you?" He looked up and stared at Chanyeol intently, biting his lips as he awaited the response. "Really?" Baekhyun exclaimed happily as he inched closer to Chanyeol. He pecked the tree bark and blushed as he pulled away. "Am I good kisser, Yeollie?"

Baekhyun was quite happy that Chanyeol loved his kiss and he insisted that Baekhyun do it again. And so he did, taking it further this time—he darted out his tongue and began licking the brown wood. He moaned into the kiss but pulled away once he couldn't breathe anymore.

"So what are we?"

When Chanyeol didn't answer, Baekhyun felt a pang in his chest (afraid that Chanyeol doesn't want to be more than friends). He was about to say something but Chanyeol told him that they're now boyfriends.

Baekhyun couldn't be happier. The way he was happy, he even kissed Chanyeol—twice!

The next day Baekhyun showed up at school smiling brightly as he headed to his locker to retrieve his books for Biology class.

"Why are you smiling so much?" His friend, Kyungsoo, said, eyeing him suspiciously.

Baekhyun smiled wider, "Yeollie and I are now boyfriends!"

Kyungsoo, along with some of Baekhyun's other friends, knew about Baekhyun's love of trees—well, for now, Chanyeol. Kyungsoo chuckled nervously, "O-Oh.....that's great I guess..."

"IT'S MAGNIFICENT!" Baekhyun blurted out and everyone looked at him weirdly. "Next thing you know, he'll propose to me and then we'll have tons of babies. I already have names for them. There's Ta—"

"There goes the bell!" Kyungsoo announced and walked away quickly to his own class which thankfully was not with Baekhyun. He needs help.

"Guys, we need to get rid of that tree asap!" Kyungsoo said as he and his other (also Baekhyun's) friends watched Baekhyun talking to Chanyeol. "Look at him; he looks crazy!"

"Ya think?" Chen said, rolling his eyes. "I've been meaning to cut that tree down for years now!"

"So what do you suggest we do?" Kai whispered as he massaged his nipples—it's an old habit of his.

"Cut it down, duh!"

They all looked at each other with evil smirks and started muttering amongst themselves. This is gonna be great....

"Oh, Baekhyun," Luhan, Baekhyun's seatmate, called as Baekhyun was about to leave school. "I was wondering, do you mind taking a walk in the park?"

Baekhyun looked at him with furrowed brows, "For what reason? I have important stuff to attend to." My Chanyeol needs me.

"It won't be long. I promise"

Groaning, Baekhyun agreed, "But only for five minutes"

At Baekhyun's house were three boys who were ready to 'kill' Chanyeol. They had fierce looks on their faces and they looked pretty scary, especially Kai.

Kyungsoo kissed his chainsaw, "I've wanted to use this for the longest while"

He turned it on and smirked, "Goodbye Chanyeol." That was the end of Chanyeol.

"Why exactly did you bring me out here?" Baekhyun questioned as Luhan smirked at him. He closed his eyes and leaned in closer to Baekhyun as if he wanted to kiss him but Baekhyun stopped him. "Ew. I have a boyfriend for God's sake. You're such a sick fuck!" Baekhyun knew if Chanyeol found out that he had cuss, he would receive a punishment from him—one that he's not ready for. He prefers to be married first.

When Baekhyun got home, he rushed out to the backyard but what he saw made his heart beat faster. "Chan......Chanyeol...Oh my...Ch-Chan.." He knelt beside where Chanyeol once was and began to cry, hollering for Chanyeol who was nothing more than a branch. (His friends were generous enough to leave that much for him—for memories, they say)

A few months have passed since Chanyeol's death. Baekhyun refused to date another tree because they would remind him of Chanyeol. Baekhyun cried every day and every night, muttering Chanyeol's name over and over. He hadn't eaten, pushing it aside when offered to him and as a result, he got skinnier. He barely talked to anyone or interacted with anyone.

Today though, his friends dragged him out of the house and took a walk in the park. Baekhyun was sulking but that all changed when he tripped over a rock. He took the rock up and marveled at its smoothness.

His friends turned to look at him, "What is it?"

Baekhyun smiled (for the first time in forever), "I like this rock. I think I'm gonna keep him and I'm going to call him.....hmm....Sehun!"

His friends just stared blankly at him and Baekhyun shrugged, walking away from them. "Sehun, I know it's too early but I think I love you."
