Steve hadn't seen Talia in who knows how long. To see her now, vulnerable, and unable to even stand was so painful for him to see.
After he crashed into that ice all those years ago, he was unaware of the people he had left behind. Sadly one of them was her. To be experimented on by the enemy probably in the most painful of ways was something he didn't even want to think about.
His strides were powerful as he made his was to her cell chamber without a second look back. As Bruce stood there he looked at the camera to see the lower chambers once more seeing the woman who resided inside.
"You all go. Make sure he's alright!" Bruce spoke quickly promoting all the Avengers to quickly get up and follow Steve before he did something irrational.
The room was quickly cleared out leaving Bruce to himself as he continued to watch the camera's of the woman in the chamber. She laid motionless unable to move just as Bure continued to watch her he noticed that she was twitching.
Tilting his head slightly he tried to figure out what was happening to the woman. Her head then looked up to the camera and her eyes connected with Bruce's. He looked at the eyes of the woman seeing them become a vibrant green like his own.
A smile then appeared on her face and the cameras soon began to blur, cutting the transmission.
Bruce's eyes widened as he realized this woman had set a trap for the Avengers below. Turning quickly he tried to make his way down to the bay before they had a chance to open the chamber.
"Wait! It's a trap!" He ran as fast as he could realizing that the second they tried to open it, she would have already killed them.
Steve was in front of the group striding as fast as he could unable to contain himself. When he finally reached her, he wanted to reassure her that he wouldn't leave again. This was his chance to try to make things right. Especially for Peggy.
"Steve we should be careful."
"We need to help her!" He seemed to become frustrated as he finally reached the platform. Inside the chamber she was still huddled on the ground. She cradled herself quietly waiting for someone to come near.
"Talia...We want to help you." Steve spoke quietly tapping in the passcode to open the doors. Once they opened he was about to take a step in but Natasha grabbed his shoulder back.
His eyes widened as he looked back at her.
"Natasha."
"Steve." She gave him a look of knowing, but it didn't change his ideas. He moved her hand off before stepping inside.
"Talia please look at me." Steve asked and the woman listened softly. Getting to her knees she turned to look at the man before her.
"Steve...how could you do this to me. Leave me in here?" She whispered softly. As Tony watched the interaction between the two he couldn't help but feel uneasy about the situations. Tapping his watch he then felt his build in suit cover only his hand quietly as he watched the scene unfold.
