Chapter 2

Still Nico's POV

The door of the house opened and revealed the centaur Chiron. Flanking him were the four demigods, three of them were wearing white and the last person who exited the door was a person wearing a long black coat. I instantly felt interested around the new guys.

"Heroes, I want you to meet the four new demigods. They are surprisingly from the same parents," The four demigods stepped forward. "They are the children of Thanatos, God of Death"

As soon as he said Thanatos, we all fell into deep silence, it was just me and Hazel actually. Being a child of Hades, we were exposed to legends about Hades, Thanatos, Death, Elysium, Tartarus and etcetera.

"This can't be..." Hazel said.

"Enough of it now, Hazel," Chiron told her before turning towards the four newbies. "Please introduce yourselves to them"

The first one was a girl, she seemed to be three years younger than I am. She has rich brown hair and pale blue eyes. For a child of Thanatos, she seemed so lively.

"Hi! I'm Wendy, youngest Daughter of Thanatos. Nice to meet you!" She held out a hand and we gladly shook it.

The next were two boys, the eldest was Nathan and the other one was named Andrei.  The last one was the person in black. Slowly the person took the hood off and long blonde spirals fell on the person's shoulders. When the person looked up, my eyes met hers.

Holy sh–!

I thought I've seen emeralds sparkle in Hazel's hands before, but I've never seen eyes as green as the emeralds yet that was filled with fire.

"I'm Phaedra. Phaedra Seraphina Iverson, first born daughter of Thanatos" She held out a hand in front of me.

Stunned, I took it and shook it well. I clasped it tightly until I heard a small gasp escaped from her lips.

"Nico. Nico di Angelo, son of Hades" I smirked at her, fortunately, she grinned back.

"So you know them already. Nico, Percy, Jason Piper and Annabeth, please stay. The rest of please lead them to their cabin" Chiron said.

I took a glance of Phaedra and I caught her eyes. She gave me a small smile before walking with her siblings.

"Nico's gotta a crush!!" Percy teased.

"Shut up!" I hissed.

They smirked at me and Chiron let us stopped before talking.

"Nico, do you mind telling us the legend about Thanatos's curse?" Chiron asked.

I gulped and closed my eyes to freshen up the knowledge I have in my head.

"Thanatos, the God of Death fell in love with Hera's right hand immortal maiden. Her name was Mavis. Being the God of Death and all, Hera doesn't approve of their marriage since she believes that Thanatos is not in the position to marry Mavis. Hera believes that a black for black and white for white. Mavis and Thanatos are opposite, let's just say, Mavis brings and gives life while Thanatos does the opposite," I paused. "But their love was greater than their fear. They secretly asked for Zeus's help and he approved of it, Aphrodite approves of it as well. So without Hera's blessing, Thanatos and Mavis got married"

"Does it have to do with their children?" Annabeth asked.

"When Hera learned about their marriage, she got furious and cursed the couple. First, she cursed them on having no children but Zeus talked her out of it, she cursed the couple on having four children only. And one of their children will inherit the bad side and the good side. The child will be the in-between of Thanatos and Mavis" I answered.

"And who do you think it is?" Percy asked.

But before I could speak, Rachel spoke first.

"It was said that the eldest daughter of the couple will be the in-between. She will be the most powerful among her silbings but she will also be the weakest. She will be clever, beautiful, powerful and almost perfect but she will be physically weak, too fragile for any extraneous activities, her intellectual capacity might be bigger than any Athena demigods but her heart will always fell for the wrong people" Rachel answered for me, I know aboutthe capacity but the fell in love thing was new to me.

"She was also said to have shifting eyes and hair whenever she got the her father's side. She's too good but she's also too bad" I ended.

Rachel and I waited until the words sink in our friends' mind. Annabeth was the first to recover.

"So Chiron, what do you want us to do?" She asked the centaur.

"I'm appointing you and Piper to tour Wendy around camp. Percy to Andrei. Jason to Nathan and Lastly, Nico to Phaedra" Chiron said. He's giving us– me the task to tour the pretty eldest daughter of Thanatos around. I couldn't help but feel excited about it.

Let's measure what you can do, Daughter of Thanatos...

Seraphina's POV

I screamed when I woke up. I've never experienced sleeping not in my house. Andrei and Nathan bursted inside my room and calmed me down. I was bursting out tears, Wendy entered and I could also see tear stains on her cheeks.

So much for being safe, Dad!

When I calmed down, I showered and changed my clothes before heading to the dining pavilion for breakfast. The four of us are in silence while people were staring at us and whispering about something. I caught some of their conversations.

"Is it true?"

"Yeah! They arrived last night"

"And with hot damn cars!"

"....Thanatos's children"

"Who do you think is the cursed child?"

Seriously!? CURSED CHILD!

Do we look like freaking HARRY POTTER!!!!?????

I slammed the plate down making my siblings flinched.

"What's the matter?" Nathan asked.

"I wanna go home!" I whined.

"We know the feeling" Weiyha said.

The four of us are in silence–oops... Three of them actually. I lost my appetite and decided to look into the wilderness instead. All I could hear was the murmuring of other demigods about us.

That's when I got fed up.
