Chapter 9

I got thirsty and I decided to buy a cup of goodness from Starbucks. As I waited for my drink, I heard familiar laughter behind me. Curious, I turn around to find my previous peers from Sword and Cross Academy.

Arriane, Roland, Cam, Lucinda, Gabbe and Daniel.

Gabbe was laughing and Daniel seemed to be amused by it, he was looking at her like he used to look at me. I felt a pang of jealousy but disregarded it for it was my fault that Daniel and I split.

He deserves to be happy...

Due to the fact that I was staring at them for a long time, Luce noticed me and managed to gasped so loud that her boyfriend, Cam, looked at her concerned. I looked away and fidgeted on my place as I wait for my drink.

"Green tea cream for Seraphina!" The barista called out, I raised my hand and took it from him, my hands shaking as I insert the straw.

"You never changed your favorite" A voice said.

I turned to meet Daniel's glowing eyes. I couldn't help but go weak on my knees. He's everything I could ever dreamt of. Unruly blonde hair with glowing gray/violet eyes.

"Daniel" I croaked out.

"Princess.." He said.

I could feel my breathing labored. My knees were shaking uncontrollably and any moment, I could spill my drink on the floor. Just then, a hand wrapped around my wrist instantly turning my around and meet a pair of obsidian eyes.

"Nico, what are you doing here?" I asked in a high pitched voice.

Damn!

"I was meaning to ask you the same question, princess" He winked, totally clueless about Daniel standing in front of me, glaring at him.

"How many times do I have to tell you, don't call me princess!" I bursted out.

Nico was taken aback. His hands were raised in defeat.

"Chill, Sera. I was just messing up with you" He said, aiming to clasp his hands around mine.

"Don't touch her!" Daniel slapped Nico's hand away, pulling me harshly towards him, making me bump on his hard chest and I immediately sniffed his familiar scent.

I wanted to cry!

"Who are you?" Nico asked aggressively.

"I'm her boyfriend. Who are you?" Daniel emphasized the word you.

"Sera didn't mentioned having a boyfriend. Perhaps you're fake" Nico shot back.

"And does that make you real?" Daniel asked.

I was fed up. They were firing back and forth and the people were already looking at us. Cam tried pulling Daniel from the fight but he didn't budge, even the Seven arrived and pulled the Son of Hades out of the midst.

"di Angelo! Grigori! Enough!" I yelled, not caring about the people watching us.

Eventually the two boys averted their attention at me. I both have them disapproving looks but when it comes to Daniel it became hard but I managed to.

"Both of you are acting like children! So disappointing" I exclaimed before walking out of the shop.

Andrei ran after me and pulled be into a big hug. We were alone so I broke down on my brother. Seeing Daniel was like accidentally pouring lemon juice in your newly opened cut.

Yeah it's hardcore but really HURTS!

"Shhhh.... everything's going to be fine, Sera" Andrei whispered.

"But... what if Daniel won't let go of me this time? Wha-what I-if Nico somehow became infatuated? I can't take it anymore!" I cried on my brother's shoulder while he continued to rub circles on my back.

After a couple of minutes, we walked towards our other peers. Daniel and Nico were exchanging glares, Cam and Roland were holding Daniel back while Percy and Jason did the same to Nico.

"She's not your property!" Nico screeched.

"And obviously not yours either!" Daniel shot back.

I embraced Andrei tighter and Piper was already fed up. She stepped at the middle of their glares and spoke.

"Stop it! Both of you are making it harder for Sera!" Piper said, she put her heart in her words. She knows about Daniel, I couldn't hide it from Aphrodite's daughter, she knows everything that happened between us.

Daniel and Nico both looked at me and I instantly felt like being dumped into an ice cold sea. Something was not right behind us, I could sense it. My muscles tensed up and I immediately touched the sapphire gem of my ring tempted to push it and turn it into a sword.

"Fury" I whispered, Andrei quickly heard it and pushed me behind him.

Every half-blood with us also tensed and withdraw their weapons. Daniel and the others were glued to their places.

"A kindly one!" Annabeth yelled.

"Kindly one!?" Wendy asked in a panic voice.

"It's-" Percy was beginning to explain when Nathan cut him off.

"For gods sake! It's a Fury!" Nathan gasped.

I pressed the sapphire gem and it quickly turned into a sword. I heard Daniel's gasp as my fingers tighten around the hilt.

"Demigodsssssss!!" The Fury screeched, revealing itself to us.

Jason slashed her with his winds, Leo shot a fireball at the Fury. Percy answered with a gush of water. Hazel was concentrating on playing with the mortals' minds. Nico can't summon the dead since it will attract more attention We slashed the fury continuously, we were actually winning when she received another set of energy.

"Sera! A little help please!!" Jason cried out.

I ran towards my friends and helped them. My hands waved as I summon blasts of light (from my mother's side) at the Fury. The Fury yelled and vanished, her essence went immediately into Nico's Stygian sword.

Behind us, Hazel fell on her knees clearly exhausted as us. Piper and Annabeth guided their boyfriends towards the bench while Andrei soothed me.

"Dammit! What was that!?" Roland asks.

"A Fury. It's a creature from Underworld" Hazel answered calmly with beside her and Nico as well.

Daniel, Luce and Gabbe went to my side and asked if I was alright. I quickly answered yes.

"Is that the reason why you left the Academy? and break up with me?" Daniel asked in a hush tone.
