"SERA!!!"

That made me fell in the floor. I looked at my doorway and saw my sister waiting impatiently.

"What's your problem?" I asked.

"Chiron allowed us to go shopping in New York with the Seven and Nico!!!" She answered.

"What!?"

"Dress up nicely!" She said before slamming my door.

Shopping? With the Seven and Nico!?!?

My heart pounded in fear. It's very dangerous for demigods to go out of the camp on their own.

As if it wasn't dangerous for you and Nico last night, Seraphina.

Groaning, I looked for an appropriate attire. After throwing almost half of my wardrobe on the floor, I came up with black skirt, tank top with blue strips, denim and shoes. My hair was down with loose beach wave curls.

Then took my black Channel purse to put my wallet, cellphone, some girly necessities, ambrosia, nectar, and a purse of golden drachmas. Since father and mother gave me the book that helped me conceal my sword in many ways, I decided to turn it to ring this time. It became a gold ring with a medium sized sapphire gem that fits my right ring finger perfectly.

I was just putting the last details of my makeup when my sister barged into my room.

"You look good!" She commented.

"Thanks"

"Now let's go!"

I grabbed my bag on the bed and headed out. I went straight to the Big House for more Chiron talks. The Seven were already there with my siblings. Nico was nowhere to be seen.

"Sera! You look good!" Annabeth said.

"You too" I answered. Annabeth was wearing white shorts and plaid shirt. She looks casually pretty. Piper, however, chose a floral dress and white heels for this expedition, she and my sister were the same. Hazel was totally laid back in her jeans and shirt.

"You forgot to wear perfume, Sera. Good thing I'm here to save the day" Piper said while spraying Elizabeth Arden perfume on me.

"Gee, thanks pipes!" I winked at her and she laughed.

"There's our man!" Jason called out behind me.

I turned only to forgot to breathe when I saw Nico looking so handsome. He was wearing black jeans but instead of black shirt and his aviator jacket (which was still in my room) he wore white plain V-neck shirt and he topped it with a black blazer. His hair was artfully messy and his Stygian sword was concealed as a necklace with an obsidian gem hanging.

"Nico! You're wearing white!" Percy stated the obvious but Nico just laughed.

So dreamy....

Shut up Sera!!!

"C'mon Seaweed Brain! Nico can wear rainbow colored jeans if he wanted to!" Annabeth almost whacked Percy's sorry head.

"It's a nice change" Leo piped in.

"Well... I don't want to look so scary in front of the public, right princess" He tossed a wink at me.

My cheeks instantly flared up and they all said 'ooohhh's'.

"Shut it" I hissed.

Chiron just told us to be careful and quick. He also gave us ambrosia and nectar and twenty pieces of golden drachmas each (I already have) and also some mortal money. Nathan decided to take the wheel since it's his car we were using. Nico and I were sitting together, their idea.

The car ride was composed of Percy and Jason bickering while Nathan kept their powers at bay meanwhile Leo, Frank and Andrei were playing 'I spy' and the girls talked about girlie stuff and teaching Hazel some new words or 'slangs'. Nico plugged his earphones and took a nap. They were so occupied that I was left to watch movement of the car instead.

"Hey Sera! What was the name of you school?" Percy asked, hoping we had the same one.

"Sword and Cross Academy" I answered quickly.

It only pained me to say my previous school. My previous solace. My previous love.

Daniel

I averted my eyes to keep the tears from falling. I broke up with him the moment I learned about Camp Half-Blood. It was over the phone and I tried my best not to cry.

"I will wait for you" He said, his voice breaking and he started crying as well.

That's when I broke down. I clutched the phone tightly like it was my lifeline. We've been dating for three years and we'll just end it for some stupid camp my parents kept on arguing about.

"Daniel please..."

"No princess. I will always wait for you. You know I will and I can" He was crying right now.

I was sobbing and my voice was already hitching. Not too long enough, I'll get my asthma again. With all my will power I ended the call and cried my eyes out. As tears fall down, memories flooded my head.

"Seraphina? What's wrong?" I turned at the sound of Hazel's voice. Nico was wide awake already and looking at me with confused look.

"Nothing" I mumbled, wiping the tears that fell unconsciously.

Princess. The pet name Daniel used to call me. That's the reason why I hate it when Nico calls me Princess. Andrei kept his mouth shut but his eyes already asking me if I'm alright. He knows about Daniel and he was there when I broke up with him over the phone.

The rest of the car ride was eerie quiet and they were all agitated to get out of the car when Nathan indicated that we're already at our destination.

"Sera, are you really okay?" Nico asked when they were already out of earshot.

"I'm fine" I said, expecting a calm voice but it came out as a very strong one.

Nico ignored the fact that I snapped at him. He just accompanied me on walking towards the boutique's entrance.

"Go with them. I still have to find my perfect shoes" I said to Nico who was never leaving my side.

"Are you sure?"

"Positive!" I cheered. Yeah, faking cheerful sounds was my speciality.

Nico gave me a smile before going with the other lads. I sent my twin brother a message saying I'll be out for a while and he gave me a quick reply of 'take care'. I quietly exited the shop and strolled the road.
