Nathan walks into pick a drink. His town's local coffee shop. "What is the point to my existence." Nathan asks himself silently not noticing a girl sitting behind him. Hailey hears a quiet voice behind her, hearing him asking himself one of life's hardest questions. Just because she's very social and extrovert, she turns around.

"Well, why do you think?"

Nathan pulls up his hood. "Who are you and I'm sorry if I bothered you." Nathan responded timidly.

Hailey semi-smiles at his shyness. "I should be the one apologizing. I did just start talking to you out of nowhere. Anyways, I'm Hailey West."

"I'm Nathan Drain." Hailey's eyes widen in surprise at that name.

"Wait. Drain? Like as in, the famous Scientist?" Nathan nods.

"Awesome! That's so cool! I love science. It's my favorite subject after English."

"Wait what period do you have Science and who is your teacher?" Nathan asks as he slides on a black hat before sliding his hood off to hide his hair.

Hailey doesn't hesitate a second on answering his question. "Mr. Mitchell and 3rd period." Nathan looks surprised.

"Same I'm new here so I don't have many friends beside Drake Torise and John Wilson." Nathan turns his chair around so he can sit down.

"Well then. Welcome to town. I'll just say it now. It's not that interesting around here. It's cool that we have the same class and apparently the same school."

"I'm surprised most people try to avoid me." He points out that the other people in the room are sitting at least one table away from him.

Hailey shrugs and turns around to face him.

"Eh. I'm not that popular either. I don't care about that whole popularity nonsense. Besides, it's school, not a monarchy."

"That's not why they avoid me follow me." Nathan stands up and grabs his satchel. Hailey notices that their are black gloves on Nathan's hands.

Hailey's heart picks up a faster beat, but she silently scolds herself for thinking anything will go wrong. I know how to defend myself even in something does happen. I'm fine. Nathan leads Hailey to an abandoned lot and he removes his gloves, hat, and satchel. Despite Nathan removing his things, Hailey keeps her gray beanie on and her backpack around her shoulders. Nathan closes his eye and black, red, gold, and silver smoke begin to circle around him and flames come out of his hands then the flames turn to snow flakes hovering around his hands. Hailey notices that Nathan's hair is gold with a red, and silver stripes going down it. Nathan then turns into a demon with angel wings and an angel's halo then back to normal. Hailey stared at Nathan with an amazed look on her face. It can't be. Another one?! Hailey considers running, but decides to root herself by the door. I won't let myself look weak! Nathan puts his things back on. "That's why they avoid me but they don't really know; it is just a rumor to them. You're the only one that really knows." Hailey nods and shoves her hands in her pockets. "You ok?" Nathan asks worried. Hailey nods again and breaths a bit heavier.

"Y-yeah. A-a-all's good," Hailey reassures shakily, but her eyes start to glow a bright turquoise. Gently touching her eyes, she turns around and runs as fast as she can as far away as she can. "It's you. I've finally found you." Nathan thinks to himself.
