"Hello, Dad." Nathan says, laying down.

"So, son, how is it going with that girl you appear to like," his dad responds.

"Dad, shut up."

Hailey stares down at the wad of cash, tears still dripping from her eyes. She frowns as she gets an idea. She quickly sifts through the trash and finds a perfectly good envelope. She writes 'I'm sorry' onto the front and shoves the cash in. She kneels right outside his house, avoiding the light of the window. She quickly puts the cash under the door and sprints back to the alley. When she gets back, she happened to notice the tracker on her backpack. She growls as she rips it off. She glared at it before getting yet another idea. She sneaks over to the luxury apartments down the road and throws it into a window. "Try tracking me this time," Hailey taunted, and with that, snuck back to her battered mattress.

"Ok good night, son," Walter says hanging up.

Hailey lays onto her mattress and falls asleep.

Nathan switches to a different frequency and sees that it isn't where the tracker used to be then he switches to another frequency and the other tracker turns on that is sewn into her bag that was placed there by the makers. "Sigh" he goes outside and grabs the envelopes and writes the words keep it; it's a gift from me to you. He then snaps his fingers sending the envelope back to her.

Hailey wakes up the next morning, and her stomach hurts so much that she bends over in pain. "God damnit! C'mon. I can't focus on eating right now. I gotta go to work!" She slowly stands up and walks to Maxie's house. She opens the door and goes inside. "Hey, I'm here."

Maxie steps around the corner and sees Hailey. "Hi, teacher."

"Morning, Max. Hey, I used your gas can yesterday to help that friend yesterday. How much was it?"

Maxie thinks a bit before answering, "10 dollars."

Hailey flinches a bit, but digs around in her bag and finds just enough. "Here, take it to your parents. Then, we have some work to do." Maxie nods and skips over to her parents, handing them the money then skipping up the stairs, Hailey following and starting her lesson.

Nathan gets up and smiles knowing that she still hasn't seen the money.

"Geez, teacher," Maxie says as Hailey's stomach growls again. "You're stomach is growling a lot. Did you eat, yet?"

"Of course," Hailey lied, fake smiling. "B-breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I think I just have a stomach ache."
