"We have a new student in class today," Hailey's teacher says. Hailey looks around and spots Nathan only a couple desks away from her.

Nathan stands up and walks to the front of the class. "Hello, I'm Nathan Drain. This is the fifth school I've gone to, and I hope I can make friends with all of you." Hailey smiles, but she hears a snarky remark next to her.

"Drain? Walter Drain? Pfft. I kinda feel bad for this guy. He probably has to deal with hour-long science lectures every day."

Nathan looks up and his right eye flares red and he growls. "I'm not deaf, you shfinhoun."

Hailey glares at the girls who said that, and her eyes start to flicker turquoise. To hide it, she covers her eyes and puts her face on her desk.

"If I am correct, your father worked with my father. I know that because I saw you running through my house. After I say, your father tried to strangle me, and my mother stabbed him in the back with a wine bottle that she had broken after he had raped and nearly killed her. My mom later died because of a brain concussion." Nathan says, tugging at his scarf showing the scars from the nylon cord. Hailey looked up through her arms and saw the scars. She was using all her will to keep herself from going crazy, but her eyes wouldn't fade away. The girl goes silent. "That's what I thought." Nathan says rewrapping the scarf around his neck. Hailey's eyes were glowing so bright that it was visible under her arms. Hailey screwed her eyes shut.

6 hours later.

RING! Everyone leaves the school. Hailey sighs and runs over to the coffee shop a few blocks away. She swings into a chair and pulls out her computer, starting to work on her massive amount of homework. That was way too close in science. She thought. Nathan walks into the coffee shop and opens up his computer behind Hailey's and opens up his school website and gets all of his work for the next year done in a mature in 4 minutes. Hailey checks the time and finds it to be almost 4:30.

"Crap!" Hailey exclaims, quickly packs up everything, and runs out the door. As soon as she arrives at the library, she behind the desk and slides her backpack off. "Sorry I'm late." Hailey apologizes to the lady at the desk. She nods and Hailey starts working at the other computer.

Nathan looks at his hands and he gets teleported to the library. Hailey looks up from her computer because of a bright flash and sees Nathan. "Oh, hey," Hailey greets Nathan.
