Hunting Visions

I wake up groggy and tired. I almost panic when I realize were I am. 'Can't believe I forgot' 

I look at the clock and see it flashing 12. 'What the' I take out my cell and see its 8:45. We got home around lunch. 'Wow I slept that long...why didn't they wake me.' I get out of my bed and start for the the kitchen. 'Maybe they are there'

As I walk down I hear voices in the leaving room. As I get closer I hear bets of the conversation. 'Did you see it?' ' No I......but.......and if she....then it will take a few days before we know' 'ok well wait and see.' My grandmother says before I enter the room.

There are two people looking at me. My grandmother and a clone of her. My great aunt Val my grandmother's twin look nearly identical to my grandmother,but one thing made them different. She like to dress creatively and more open. Just like my grandmother she had long gray hair. But unlike my grandmother tight ballerina bun, she has it braided with beads and feathers. And unlike my grandmother formal tight fitting clothes, she has colorful clothes that are more loose and open.

They both look at me with worried faces. No doubt thinking I overhead them. I mean I kinda did but they don't need to know that. I smile warmly at them with fake innocence. They slowly start to relax and smile back at me. 'Aunty Val I missed you. How have you been? Was Egypt fun? And why weren't you here when we got home?'  I ask her as I come in for a hug.

She hugs me tight and smiles. ' I missed you too sweet pea. And I gotta say I probably been better than you. Haha......but Egypt was glorious and I hope to take you there. And unfortunately I had to go run an errand for your arrival.' She says apologetically as she looks at me.

'I wonder what she got'. "you're just going to have to wait and see sweet pea." My aunt says I look at her and realize I said it out loud. Could this get any more embarrassing.

I look over at my grandmother and see her smiling at us. Suddenly my stomach Rumbles ' god I'm hungry. Can we eat know' I ask no one in particular. Suddenly a bell rings signalling dinner is ready. I smile at my grandmother and aunt.

As we eat I'm told more about my new school. Apparently it's only a 10-minute drive from here but a 30 to 40 minute walk. It's been around for about a hundred years and it's a public school. It's rank high in the district for grades and I'm told I don't have to wear a uniform like I did at my last school except for when we go on field trips.

I tell them about what I got as gifts and how I'm gonna go shopping tomorrow. They say that sounds like fun and to be home before dark.

I also asked my grandmother if she could ship my new car here. She said yes  and I'm hoping it'll be here in a few weeks. I'm pretty excited to go into town tomorrow. It will be my last day before I have to start school so I want as much Freedom as I can get in that one day.

As I eat my food I think back on what I heard. I wonder who they were talking about. As I ponder this my aunt snaps her fingers in front of my face trying to get my attention. 'Wha what, what did I miss.' I mumble. My aunt and grandmother laugh. I can't help but frown at this. "Whaaaaat tell me. come on stop laughing at me." I whine a little

'I was trying to ask if you want to see what held me up were I couldn't see you guys when you got here?' She asked me with one eye brow raised. I nod my head yes so hard I think I'll get brain damage.

She laughs and leads me out to the yard. As we walk out side I look up at the stares. I love them so much. And its great how deep into the woods we lived because I can see them much better then I ever could before.
