This starts with Dan's POV then switches to Phil's then back again so look out for 5 *'s for when that happens.
He had ruined everything a-fucking-gain! He let our a growled yell and punched Phil's wall, hard. He screamed as his first started to bleed, and he clutched it in his hand, cursing. He debated whether to try and get into Phil's house, whether knocking on his door or climbing onto his roof and getting in through his window, but instead he just stalked home, trying not to kick anything on the way back.
The moment he got home he ran upstairs and into the study where his punchbag was, having been left untouched for a long while, a thin layer of dust covering it. He threw off his coat and wrenched on the gloves, squaring up against the bag before hammering into it, again and again. He threw punches until his tears started falling, and he ended up punching weaker and weaker until he he was clinging to the bag, clutching it tightly before sobbing against it.
He let out a strangled scream and fell to the floor, clutching his legs tightly and wiping his eyes repetitively on his knees.
"Not again Dan, what happened?" He heard Damian ask as the door clicked open.
"I was an idiot," Dan spat and hid his face again. He felt Damian sit next to him and put an arm around his shoulders.
"Erm, Dan, buddy? Can you explain a little more?" He asked gently and Dan nodded.
"You will shout at me, but okay," Dan mumbled and lifted his head up. "I was saying goodbye to Phil at his gate and then he caught my eye and stared at me, slowly getting closer, and I couldn't help myself. I kissed him and he pushed me off him and then said that I had blown it, when I had just been starting to earn back his trust. Then he told me to go and went back into his house. Then I punched the wall, then punched this bag, then cried, then told you," Dan told him and Damian sighed.
"I'm sorry Dan, I really am. I of all people know how tempting he is so I can't really blame you," he sympathised.
"He just confuses me so much. He started to lean, he started to kiss back, yet he keeps telling me no! Can't he just make up his mind?" He huffed.
"I guess he can't. But considering he kissed you back you still have some something to work with. He still loves you, you just need to talk again," Damian advised and Dan sniffed and nodded. "Do you know what this means Dan?"
"What?"
"Fight back time!" He said and Dan chuckled. Time to do some fighting.
*
The phone was ringing. Dan's leg was shaking as he waited for Phil to pick up.
"Sorry the person you are calling is not available right now, please leave a message after the beep:"
"Hey Phil, it's me. Please pick up," Dan begged, then hung up.
*
He was calling again. It kept ringing before, again:
"Sorry the person you are calling is not available right now, please leave a message after the beep:"
"Hey Phil, it's me. Again. Can you please pick up or call me back? We need to talk, please?" He said, then ended the call.
*
"Sorry the person you are calling is not available right now, please leave a message after the beep:"
"Phil just reply please! We need to talk and I am sorry! Just reply to me!"
*
"Sorry the person you are calling is not available right now, please leave a message after the beep:"
"Phil... Please."
*
"Sorry the person you are calling is not available right now, please leave a message after the beep:"
"I... Sorry."

It was ringing for the 7th time and Dan was close to giving up before-
"Dan." Phil's real voice appeared.
"Phil," Dan said, filling with hope. "I-"
"Dan? Stop calling me," Phil said bluntly and cut off the call. Dan dropped his phone and rested his head in his hands.
"No reply?" Damian asked, walking into the front room with a plate of biscuits and putting it on the coffee table.
"6 voice mails and I finally got through. To be told I should stop calling," he said tiredly and Damian held out the plate of biscuits to him.
"You could go to his house? He never said no to going over to his house," Damian suggested, nibbling on his own cookie as he switched on the TV.
"Good idea. I should probably wear body armour though," Dan said, standing up and finding his shoes, glad the weather had turned a bit nicer and was half warm outside if he was only in a jumper.
"Good luck Dan!" Damian called to him as he walked out his door. He jogged to Phil's house (very glad it wasn't far away) and when he reached outside he wondered about what to do to talk to Phil. Ringing the doorbell wouldn't be the best idea. He pulled out his phone and rang Phil's number again.
"I said stop calling!" He heard Phil yell angrily down the phone.
"I'm outside your house," Dan told him calmly and Phil paused.
"Well go away,"
"No. I won't. Now come and talk to me or I will get your mum to let me in," Dan told him and Phil grumbled.
"Fine, 5 minutes or before I start shouting again? Okay?" He said and cut off the call. Dan waited for him to appear at the door but instead he heard a window open and backed up, seeing Phil hanging out of it, his eyebrows raised in a non amused fashion.
"Your time starts now," Phil called to him.
"Are you not coming down?"
"Nope. And you just waisted 10 seconds," he said and Dan sighed.
"Look, Phil. I am really sorry for kissing you, but you led me on! I know you don't even realise but when the person you are in love with stares into your eyes, then leans towards you you kiss them! It's natural! And when they kiss you back, even for a split second you know it means something!" Dan called up to him and Phil looked a little shocked, then glared again at him.
"I didn't kiss you back, or lead you on," he told Dan and Dan shook his head.
"You really think I would lie after all this? But that doesn't matter, I love you Phil. Do I have to recite poetry to win you back? Or start quoting Shakespeare considering I am looking up at your balcony, well, window. Just tell me Phil! Please! If I have to get on my knees and beg my forgiveness then I will, just please tell me!" Dan shouted to him and Phil looked uncertain.
"Dan, I don't know how I can't trust you with any of this. So unless you can re-write time then I don't think you can," Phil told him calmly.
"Oh for fuck's sake please Phil! Just tell me something! I will do anything to make this all better." Phil was silent for a few seconds before looking down at him again, but he was too far away to read the emotion on his face.
"Stop talking to me. Just stop talking to me," he said quietly, and Dan thought he saw something glisten on Phil's cheek before he closed the window and was out of sight.
"Eugh!" Dan let out a small frustrated cry and stormed off back home. He slammed the door and flopped down on the sofa next to Damian.
"Didn't go well?" Damian asked tentatively.
"I am now no longer allowed to speak to him," Dan said, sounding aggravated.
"Then don't talk," Damian said simply.
"Yeah that's not so easy Dame," Dan said sarcastically.
"No I mean-" Damian said, picking up a pad of sticky notes and a pen. "Write."
*****
On Monday Phil only walked with Damian to school. Damian told him that Dan had gone ahead to not trouble him and Phil had grudgingly nodded before switching the conversation to something less Dan related.
Damian left him at his locker and Phil opened it to grab what he needed for the day, and saw a folded up piece of paper strewn across his books with his name written on it. He cautiously opened it and saw a note scribbled inside.
I'm sorry, just tell me what I can do to fix this.
Love Dan xx
Phil crumpled up the paper and tossed it back in his locker, grabbing his books and walking towards his first class, that he shared with Dan.
*
Dan didn't speak to him throughout the entire lesson just like Phil had asked. Phil was truly glad and Dan packed up quickly to leave before Phil, even if they had the same lesson next. Phil got distracted while picking up his pen from the floor and saw Dan leave the room, and noticed a small yellow post-it note on his desk.
Please Phil?
Phil ripped it in half and defiantly dumped it in the bin before leaving the room, heading towards the art block, knowing he would have to tell Dan to stop this as well.
*
There was another note on his chair when he got there slightly late, everyone else already starting to work. Dan had his headphones in and Phil picked it up, scanning it quickly, before putting it in the bin.
I am guessing you aren't going to listen and reply to me. I just really want to fix things Phil. Please let me try.
When he came back over another was there.
Looks like I have to try a different tactic.
He ripped it in half and left it in front of Dan before grabbing his board and paints, starting to continue his project, not looking around at Dan, determined to show how angry he was at him.
*
The lesson ended and Dan exited quickly, leaving Phil behind with one more sticky note on his desk.
Have I ever told you how perfect your eyes are? And how they get darker when you are thinking really deeply?
Phil rolled his eyes and shoved it recklessly into his pocket, before grabbing his bag and walking out to meet Damian at break.
*
At lunch he sat alone in the library. He had chatted happily with Damian last lesson but wanted to stay away from Dan at lunch, and to read his book, so he told Damian to go sit with them. He slumped down on a beanbag in the corner of the library and pulled his book out from his bag, seeing a note stuck on front.
Did I ever say I found it cute how much you like reading? It's like you are living in two worlds, and I wish I could be there in both.
Phil bit his lip and pulled the note off slowly, putting it down beside him and opening his book to his current page, seeing another flash of yellow, and he suppressed a small smile.
When you read you pull the cutest face when you concentrate, you always look so intense but your eyes shine. I hope you know how beautiful you are.
He stuck it on top of the other one and started reading his book, pulling out an apple and chewing it while he read.
*
He had been so busy reading he hadn't noticed the note drop (he guessed from his apple) onto his lap. He couldn't help but smile a little as he read it.
Do you remember when we talked about wanting to get married and have children? I still want that.
"So do I Dan, so do I," Phil murmured to himself. "But how can I trust you?"
*
He got more notes throughout the day, each making him smile secretly to himself and tucked them all in his pocket. He walked home alone and ran to his door when he saw a flash of yellow on it.
I love you.
He put it in his pocket and walked into his house and stepped on something paper. He picked up another note and couldn't help but grin a little.
I will wait for eternity so take your time. Just tell me when you know.
*****
"Well that was an interesting day," Damian said to Dan as he flopped down beside him.
"Yeah, but it was kinda fun, I think I might be winning Phil back slightly, I saw him smile at one of my notes this afternoon though he tried to hide it," Dan said happily.
"It's quite a grand gesture really, I mean-"
"Damian shut up."
"What? Why?"
Dan's face split into the biggest grin possible and he turned to face Damian.
"Grand gesture. Damian you are a genius."
"What are you on about?"
"I have a plan to win Phil back properly."
Well that was shit but hey, the next chapter will be better I promise (seriously I am so excited for the next one). But it's early, 10:27pm, so I probably won't.
Again nothing has happened in my life apart from I'm super happy so yeah.
Anyways,
