My name is Lexi. I live in the U.S.A and I have one big secret. I am a wizard. My mom and dad are both wizards. I have an older brother but he has already finished school. I just turned 13 last month and I received my acceptance letter when I was eleven. I go to Hogwarts with my friend Ginny, she’s my BFF. I leave to go to Diagon Alley in two days, after that I always get to go to Ginny’s until term starts. We are going to use floo powder because London is so far away. Actually, we are moving to England today! My parents don’t like to use floo powder and they’ve been thinking about moving for awhile. Now is the perfect time.
We just finished packing and we made sure that all the blinds and doors were closed.My parents apparated with all of our boxes and things. I grabbed our two owls and used floo powder to get to the new house. My parents were still apparating back and forth between the houses so I put down the cages and went up the stairs. I saw that there was three rooms upstairs. One for my parents, one for my brother when he visits, and the last one for me. My parents had put my name on my door in blue glitter.
My room was huge! I had a walk-in closet and a queen sized bed. I knew that we had gotten new furniture but I didn’t know that my bed was going to be queen sized! I ran back downstairs and saw that my parents had brought all the boxes. I ran and gave them both huge hugs. They looked surprised until I said, “I saw my room. I love it!”
They both just laughed and hugged me back. They pulled away and I smiled then ran back to my room. I found that I had my own bathroom too.
I then went back downstairs to start taking boxes up to my room. My parents refuse to let me used magic until I graduate from Hogwarts so it took me hours to get everything into my room. It was already dark by the time I finished so I went downstairs to get something to eat first. When I was finished I went back upstairs and found the box that my blankets were in. I set the blankets on my bed and fell asleep.
I woke up the next morning feeling refreshed. I started to go through boxes immediately. By lunchtime, I had almost all of the boxes done and put away. All I had left were my clothes,shoes, and books. I ate quickly wanting to get done with my room. I organized my books in a record time.I have to have them in alphabetical order according to author’s last name.
The next challenge I tackled was my shoes and clothes. My shoes were easy but I couldn’t find enough hangers for my clothes. Even when I folded my jeans and put them in a chest drawer I didn’t have enough. I had to find my mom in her room and ask what box the hangers were in because I still needed like 15 more. I found them and my room was finally done.
My mum called me down for supper and I went down. The rest of the house was already finished so we had no more unpacking to do. We had a nice family dinner and we talked about my school year and about tomorrow. We finished and had dessert then everyone dispersed. I went upstairs to bag my night bag for Ginny’s and I finished putting my robes into my trunk.
I fell asleep feeling excited about tomorrow and telling Ginny that we moved.I can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow. I get to see Ginny, Ron, Fred, George, Hermione, and of course the one and only Harry Potter. I can’t wait to see them all and talk about our summers.
