The next day was only a half day of classes because we were supposed to get to know the students from the other schools, but in reality I just think that the teachers wanted a break from us students. Some students, like Hermione, chose to have a study hall instead. Harry, Ron, and I got sick of saying hi and trying to understand what the other students were saying, so we left.

Harry and Ron wanted to go see Hagrid, so I tagged along. I had nothing else to do, the only problem was that I had never officially met Hagrid. I mean I had always smiled at him and I listened to his instructions, but he probably only knows my name from his class.

I was nervous while walking down to his hut. I mean if you were going to meet a seven foot half giant that is one of your friends closest friends. It’s a little intimidating. At least in my opinion.

As Harry knocked on the door, my heart was speeding faster than ever. The door opened and Hagrid greeted all of us,

“ ‘Ey ‘Ermione. There’s somethin’ different about you.”

“Uhh Hagrid, that’s not Hermione. This is Lexi. She’s one of our best friends. She’s a third year.” Harry said. I waved a small wave.

“Of course yer not ‘Ermione. She would have her head in a book and she would have been standing right behind ‘Arry with Ron in the back.” Hagrid said.

After our weird introduction, everything went smoothly. Hagrid is really nice, but I don’t think that I will ever get as close to him as Harry, Ron and Hermione. We left after a while and i couldn’t wait. It was almost dinner and I was starving.

I sat down to eat and tonight I was facing Draco. I had completely forgotten about our plans to meet after dinner until he mouthed, “Are we still on for later?”

I just nodded because Ginny was trying to get me into a conversation. I knew that Dean and her were having troubles again so she wanted to distract herself. I successfully stayed in the conversation all throughout dinner.

After dinner, I went upstairs to the dorms to change out of my robes. They were comfortable, but it’s nice to wear normal clothes every once in a while. I couldn’t wait until the next year when i can wear a uniform kind of like in private muggle schools.

I ended up wearing some jeans and a sweatshirt because it was starting to cool off. I then noticed the time and I only had five minutes to get downstairs. I sprinted downstairs and I got a lot of weird looks but I didn’t care because I got weird looks all the time. My accent was a huge thing for people to get over. I have been here for three years, but no one seems to be able to stop from staring whenever I talk. Yes I talk differently but after three years, get over it.

I burst through the front doors of the building and rounded the corner towards where I told Draco to meet me. He was standing there looking anxious. I ran up to him and scared him. I jumped on his back and he just about dropped us. I was trying hard not to laugh.

I jumped down then took his hand instead. He smiled when he saw that it was me. I laced our fingers together then started to lead him towards the other side of the lake. He asked where we were going about fifty times. We walked to the spot and I pulled him towards the edge before I sat down.

He sat down next to me and then picked me up just to sit me in his lap. I leaned back into him and he held me close. We watched the sun set and I knew that I wanted to stay right here,as long as I had Draco here with me.

Sorry that it's so short, but I had to post soon. I will make the next chapter much longer. ~Peighton
